Wardens - Season 7, Episodes 9 & 10: Deep Patrol Brothers & Rural Road Huntin' | Outdoor Documentary
Watch the next episode of 'Wardens' here: • Wardens: Still on the ...
In this episode:
During the opening week, CO's and brothers Bill and Shane Webster patrol the state using vastly different strategies. Bill is on aerial patrol looking for illegal bait piles while Shane is working the web to track down offenders.
Michigan - The opening week of firearm deer season is one the year's busiest. Officers in Districts 3 and 6 tackle road hunting issues in rural Michigan.
When your job is protecting our most precious natural resources in some of the nation’s most remote areas, there is rarely a dull moment. Wardens chronicles the lives of Conservation Officers in America. The show features the men and women who protect public lands, from ride-alongs on interstate game checks, to anti-poaching sting operations; from remote snowmobile trails in grizzly bear country, to unforgiving white-water rapids. While the focus of Wardens is enforcement of regulations, the show takes special precautions to ensure the general public understand those who would violate the rules are the minority and the vast majority of encounters with our Wardens are law-abiding citizens.

I genuinely will never understand why people break these laws.. 3 generations of hunters in my family and every single hunt was done by the book with ease. And each one was a evergreen memory.

No it isn’t. If it wasn’t for government intervention we would have no game animals. Before game wardens white tail deers population was down to less that 100,000 over the whole country, let alone other game species. Anyone who thinks your way is probably just greedy and wants to take and take.

What a joke on the Alpena County poachers. 400 acre farm, poached 3 deer. One trophy buck out of season and 2 smaller bucks over bait. The land owners knew exactly what they were doing and probably have been doing it for decades. The young CO acts as if they are his buddies. Even jokes with them how he knows they are honest and will pick up all the bait. Fines didn't even cover the resources used to bust these guys. The fines could have and should have been revocation of hunting privileges and fines of 10 grand. The law abiding sportsman who purchase licenses and pay for deer tags and then actually tag the deer deserve better. We entrust the DNR to protect our rights and the resources from these poachers. You failed us young CO. Grow a pair and do your job!!!! These criminals are not your friends.

Conservation officers are far too lenient on these lawbreakers and poachers. They know the laws, that means they should take the full punishment. Be lenient on the people who made honest mistakes, still should've known better.
