Hi Mahnoor, no that is the unit of pressure, stress etc. I am asking about the specific weight, which is the weight per unit volume. Weight is in N, volume is m^3. So we get N/m^3. Hope this helps

Why cant we just use: SG(ethyl) = Unit Weight(ethyl) / Unit Weight (water)

Andre, good question. You surely can use that formula, in fact, I use that in my classes. But, the FE exam manual does not state that as a formula, so I wanted to stick to what FE Exam Manual uses.
