shouldn't we consider (10 years*365 d) for calculating volume at peak instead of 1 day? because at the end that you were explaining how to calculate the total volume, you mentioned that for volume at emergency we need to consider the population at year 10. So doesn't it need to be consistent for all three types of volumes?

Hi, good question. I believe the 10 years is already accounted for when solving for the population P_t after 10 years. So you wouldn't consider that when calculating the peak volume. On the FE exam, make sure you do this and not consider that 25% I discussed. So the FE answer for peak volume would be: V_peak = 364,446 L/day (1 day) = 364,446 L. The volume for emergency isn't typically tested on the FE. But if it is, the problem statement would clearly state what you should assume. From what I've seen: the volume for an emergency is typically taken as the average daily demand volume. The fire volume is simply going to be: V_fire = fire flow rate x duration of flow Hope this helps.
