you can have paired endings, if two characters reach A ranked support with each other then they get married in the after story of the game before the credits. In my playthrough Bernadetta and Lindhart got married. Other pairings included Ferdinand and Marianne, Mercedes and Annette, Dorothea and Petra.

I’m not gonna lie. It wasn’t until I got my B support that I started to like Bernadetta like so many others. Her shy quirk got old real fast for me, but when I learned why she’s so shy, I just froze in horror from how horrible her case was. I’ve had a few friends that had some borderline abusive parents, but this is the worst case of child abuse that I’ve ever heard in my life. (And Bernadetta’s B support with Dorothea just makes it even more clear how screwed up the abuse was) It’s because of this that I’m not sure I could ever have the heart to do a run without at least recruiting Bernadetta. I’d feel like a monster for not making Bernadetta’s life at least a little happier.

I started the game as female Byleth and made it all the way to chapter 9. I recruited Bernie and came to love her during my time with the game and knew she would be the girl I would want to marry. This instantly made me regret choosing female Byleth over male. So I restarted as male Byleth and replayed through the first 20 hours of the game in one night just so I could get that S support with her. After I finally beat the final boss (Blue Lions btw) and saw this all I could think was that it was competely worth it.

I married Edelgard the first time around, but Bernadetta still had a good ending, as she did still marry someone else who was more than capable of looking after her and keeping her safe & happy: Ferdinand. So even without *me* marrying her, she still got her happy ending. I would actually have been mad if she *didn't* marry Ferdinand, since their A Support has Ferdinand tell Bernadetta that years before, his parents tried to arrange a marriage between the two of them, but due to scary rumors surrounding her, Ferdinand refused to go along with it (and this leaves Bernadetta a bit disappointed)....and then Ferdinand states that had he known what Bernadetta was like beforehand, however, he would never have turned down the marriage proposal to her, and that he was grateful that they had a chance to actually meet and get to know one another (and Ferdinand stating that had he known Bernadetta better in the past, he would have accepted the arranged marriage with her makes Bernadetta visibly happy). The only marriage that surprised me in my first playthrough was Hubert & Petra....and that despite it being a political marriage, the two seemed genuinely happy together :P

When I played through the Golden Deer route I tried to recruit her, but I didn't fully understand the mechanic yet. Got to the 5 year gap and saw her on the battlefield. I avoided going after her, but then Ingrid Killed her. I was devastated. You better believe I married her in Silver Snow though!

I went Golden Deer first as well, though I had a pretty good idea of how the recruitment mechanic worked. I just... didn't know what stats she needed. I too avoided her on the battlefield and even took out Edelgard before she could set the central hill alight... but it was Dimitri who killed her in one blow. I'm definitely recruiting her when I start my Blue Lions run.

I don’t wanna spoil anything, but I will say that you should keep the save data from this playthrough if you do restart, so you can use it for a second Black Eagles run, and that way you didn’t waste any time in the long run 😊. Funny thing, her crest represents the Hermit Arcana (not 100% sure on this information, more like 97%, but apparently the Crests represent different Arcanas; like how Byleth's Crest of Flames represents the World Arcana). Seems like IS took some inspirations from the Persona series and added them with elements from FE4-5 for this game, smart move on their part.

Elian Rodriguez I believe that Nintendo actually followed Persona’s game modes and implemented them in Three Houses, makes sense because people actually like games like that. Being a self-inserted protagonist that interacts with others and forms bonds and relationships with them. And being able to make your choices for yourself too. No wonder many I know so many Persona fans liking this game XD. Myself included. Before buying this game, I had absolutely no clue what Fire Emblem actually was until I got Smash 4. Ironically, my brother and I swore to never play a Fire Emblem game because their characters were always hogging slots in the Smash Bros. Guess we broke our oath buying this game 😂.

They explicitly said Persona was not an inspiration for them. A silent protagonist forming bonds is extremely common across many JRPG's. And many of the particular elements they put in the game were inspired by the Atelier series, which is made by this game's co-developer Koei Tecmo. Persona played zero influence in this despite what people believe.

I'm normally not that worked up about censorship, but if it's true what I heard about this S support... Allegedly, in the Japanese version she wonders if Byleth brought her to the goddess tower to "do it", then gets disappointed when he says that's not the reason. And then the English localization team decided that such indecency just wouldn't do, so they made her assume that Byleth was going to murder her. Because that's much less disturbing prior to accepting a marriage proposal, am I right?
