Fear and hunger: TERMINA voice acting mod. intro test

I am testing my mod for TERMINA that adds voice acting. but I don't know if Abella's voice fits her. I gave Henryk an essex voice since he is from Rondon, Daan an English accent since he is probably from rondon, Marina... I forgot her original voice so I had to improvise a new one and I gave Olivia an accent too since she is from bremen. I don't know about oldegard characters. I wished to give them a nice accent but there werent any good ones in ElevenLabs. Oh, I'm using elevenlabs for the voices!
I feel like voice acting brings life to the game.
I whish this video to get some traction so I can get a partnership and keep doing this.

Given the considerable concern surrounding the voices, I'll be putting together an FAQ. *Does Eleven labs steal voices?* No, it doesn't. I never used the voice cloning feature on the website. I solely used the voicelab voices created using paid actor samples. *Art itself is in danger! The AI apocalypse is upon us!* Please take note that I am a single man working on a passion project and not a triple A company. *Just get 14+ voice actors that have not only good mics but also voices that fit the character personality and are capable of giving a good delivery! Is that easy!!* It's not easy to find good voice actors, with good mics and matching voices. Many talented people offered to voice a character, while they sound very professional I could not find a character that match their voices. Also I run the risk of getting ghosted. People that voice my mod do so out of their own free will and shared enthusiasm for the game. But if they ghost me in the middle of developement I need to find a matching voice or start over. And managing people on discord is not an easy task. *In human history more difficult tasks and indie games have been completed with a small team of voice actors. Why don't you sacrifice yourself for this mod?* My time is enough payment. I'm not spending thousands of dollars on voice actors for a passion proyect. This is a mod, I will not get a single cent from this endeavor. I'd invite you to do it instead of me and bring to life a proyect worthy of an oscar, I'd love to see how immersive payed professionals can make the game! *Is the project still in production* Unfortunately not. I got tired of people's mindless attitude a long time ago. At first I created the mod for myself and was happy to see people liked it, but I got tired of comments like "It's nice but real people are better" (Made me feel that no matter how much effort i put into the mod it will always be considered inferior to an imaginary version that uses professional human voice actors because it uses AI) and acusing me that I was stealing people's voices. There are some weird little quirks on account of it being ai generated, but most of them seem alright. August sounds like a straight up evil robot though, so could definitely use some work, and Henryk sounds a little flat sometimes. IDK if elevenlabs has it, but Oldegard is very Scandinavian so looking or accents like Norwegian, Danish, and Swedish would be the way to go.

Yes, Daan from Rondon, but as it says in his story, his parents travelled a lot, so you don't have to worry about the accent (I, for example, gave him a French accent the first time I met him when I voiced him), but I remember that the wiki used to say that he originally from a local version of Holland, but after time this information was removed.

Some of the voices (Karin especially) had inconsistent volume levels, so make sure you send the final lines through some kind of audio level normalization tool. I don't think it would be hard to get people to voice the characters if that's a concern - just look at the fear and hunger subreddit, people are chomping at the bit to make art about this game. Let me know if you want help with any of the organizing for that of you're interested!

nothing weird here, it was said in the lore marina was suppose to be a man but the mother doesnt want his son to suffer the same fate as the dark priest, hence why his mother pretty much dress him up as a female its also might be the reason the father hate that is as far as i know.

fkin LMAO August sounds like the gigachad he his, Karin w/ the ultimate 'Karen voice' and Abella voice sounds awesome in my opinion (since u mentioned it). If you ever progress this mod please post about it, I'm subbed to your channel now so I won't miss it there's a voice called Nicole (the free whispered one) in 11labs which is kinda mysterious, you could totally test it in Logic/Reila just to see if it actually fits her overall good job my dude

The question will be, are planning to VA all Char/NPC or just only the important one like the contestants and Char like Per´kele? Anyway, which way you want to go, what you do is really great. The atmosphere of this will be 100x more immersive. Of course, AI sound in some points kinda janky, but whatever there is always room to imnprove.

Really like this. Really cool to see how the characters could sound. Love the voice Da'an and Marina have too. I would've expected Olivia to sound lighter and for Abella to have Olivia's voice. This mode tho mostly makes me curious as to what O'Saa, Nashrah, Pav, Samarie (love the voice in the scapegrace Samarie voice over video) and Tanaka sound like. Super cool project here.

I like it a lot! I think this is a good proof of concept. Real voice actors, or even just fan VAs would probably be better though. AI has a lot of issues with tone and pronunciation that aren't getting fixed for probably a few years.

Finally youtube is suggesting even more good stuff, i just came from another voice acting video from the gentleman and the butler and it was amazing and now this, amazing, although some minor flaws are that Karin's voice needs more volume, i had to put my volume at 50% so i could hear it better, some few dialogues sound like they got extra speed without forget some don't even got voice acting, Marina's voice feels quite fine but still being a guy, that's just a detail for me but maybe getting a man that... no, nevermind, maybe it's fine as it is, though i'd like to listen more to Abella's voicelines so i could tell it fits her or not, in any case and ignoring those details, great work, it'd give more personality to the game, let's hope we can download this soon

Just some ideas while watching this, aren't levi and Marina from Prehevil so technically they have a slavic accent ? August and Abella should have some sort of scandivanian accent, And I don't know if Marcoh and Caligura should have an Italian accentn although it might sound too ridiculous,

Thanks a lot! I've been kind of questioning this project because I use AI voices but people don't seem too fond of them. But using voice actors is not that reliable. For example I got in contact with pocketcat's voice actor and he said that he would voice the character. I was thrilled but he hasn't responded for like a month. XD I don't want to be pushy. I got some voice acting requests which is exciting to me but at the same time it can be kind of overwhelming. Thank you for your support! This is an excellent addition to the game! Unfortunately F&H is quite a niche game, so I don't know if you'll get the traction/visibility you desire. Still hoping you find the motivation to continue working on this! It really does add a lot to the immersion of the game! Reading the Umineko When They Cry visual novel with voice acting added through a mod dramatically improved the experience for me. I don't even speak Japanese either lol.

Sounds pretty good so far but I should let you know. Special dialogue between Abella and August suggests they have unique Vinland accents which is probably something similar to a Scandinavian accent if Ragnvaldr's viking like background is any hint.

since funger is an rpgmaker game, i’d suggest tutorials on modding rpgmaker games and then tutorials on implementing voice acting (which can be done in rpgmaker). you would probably need rpgmaker to do this though

Also some more (not really) humbly requests: -Make August talk with a nordic accent, Danish maybe. It will fit them well. -Make Pocketcat's voice close to their original voiceline in-game. It's a little bit obvious, but still. -Make Sewer Ghouls' voice higher than of a normal person (though not too high, just little higher than average) and screeching. And make them scream. "THAAAAAT'S RIIIIIGHT!!!! TO RRRIP AND TEEEAR THROUGH YOUR MUSCLE AAAAND BONE!!!!" -Make Half-Cocooned's voice deep and raspy. Probably Vile's too. -Tanaka should talk with very slight Japanese accent (maybe even not replace l with r), but when he turns into Judgement, he should have a TERRIBLE Japanese accent, almost incomprehensible. "Moruninu hasu gorudo inu sutoru, inu itsu maufu. Za gurindo neva sutopusu!"

There some I feel a bit odd, like August his sound good but a bit too gigachad you know, maybe turn it a bit down and that okay. Other than that everything really really good fit it well maybe adjust voice raising some dialog like this should be more loud voice or some should be a bit quiet. Olivia sounds too optimistic and Abella, to my see, should have heavier voice, since she is basically a simple worker. Other voices sound really good. Idk why people have a grudge against August, but i think the voice you picked suits him quite well.
