I wrote this song as a love letter to myself when I was scared. It has helped thousands of people around the world. It was first heard on the NCIS soundtrack. I FINALLY found my original version of the video which I directed as well on a lost hard drive I hope it helps you when you need it. It still helps me. It's on NCIS but not in Abby's lab. LOVE YOU! Ever feel like you've known someone, but you've never met. I don't know why or how but when I listen to Pauley in interviews talking about serious life altering topics, like suicide and the purpose for writing her song "beautiful child"' and even "fear", I feel like God has given her a copy of my last journal. And in some unexplainable way she speaks to me on a spiritual level. I guess kind of like a guardian angel or best friend in another life and time. Pauley just know that your words, your music and the passion behind what you fight for has been therapeutic and life changing. What does one do when everyone thinks you have all the answers, and you're so strong you don't feel pain. I don't even try to express sadness, hurt, loneliness or anything about me anymore. Because no one listens. They think they are because their ears heard sound come from my mouth. So yeah, I have a lot of people around me, but I am yet alone because they don't know me

Love this song and your delivery, Pauley Perrette. I enjoy your writing style. Also, when you were on NCIS, I never saw you as a "commodity", and I don't think your other fans did, either. I saw Abby as a colorful, compassionate, character who excelled at her craft, and who lived life on her own terms. YOU were Abby. The character may have been written into the script, but it was you who brought her to life and made her real. Just wanted you to know that at least one fan never saw you or Abby as a commodity, but saw you both instead as endearing, interesting, confident, strong, compassionate, considerate, complete human beings--the kind of people who everyone hopes to find in a best friend and confidant. That's my humble opinion, but I believe that most NCIS fans saw you and Abby in the same light from the same perspective. Blessings to you and those you love.
