I tend to concur I saw Hoglan play live in person with Strapping Young Lad, Testament (twice) with Steve DiGorgio on Bass. That had to have been the best rhythm section in Heavy Metal (all subgenres included). His ability as a drummer is unlike anything I've ever heard or seen.

The rhythm section from strapping young lad and front line of fear factory, arguably their best live sound. I wish they did more with this line up. An unusually longer set too, it's no wonder burt damaged his voice so much, unsustainable to sing like this on long tours. It was touching and fitting to have burt sing something from the watchers at the end, something he loved dearly, without all the ff turmoil. Thank you for releasing this, probably the best live recording of them, I saw ff first time in 99, they were my favourite band, \m/-

Mechanize is a phenomenal Fear Factory album. Gene Hoglan is the man when it comes to Extreme Heavy Metal drumming. The last time I saw FF was the Demanufacture Anniversary Tour in 2016 at the Fonda Theatre. They brought the house down. Soilwork killed it as well! Appreciate the upload.

the key to this lineup is byron. what happened to it was nothing of a burton thing, it was dino not accepting someone who was a lot like dino himself. i got kicked out of dinos ff facebook group after explaining dinos and burts astrology charts. dino and gene however are both virgo. this was the coolest lineup since obsolete, or the best they ever had.

Thank you SO much for this recording. The audio mix is spot on and the video, while a bit oldschool at times in the transitions, is great! Saw them on this tour 3 days before this date, it brings back so many memories. For me, the best line-up FF has ever had (Mechanize is their 2nd best album after Demanufacture and Genexus is their 3rd, fight me). Hoglan is tighter than a metronome and make the whole sound so organic and precise. For the rest, great setlist, sloppy Burton cleans and laughable backing vocals from Dino as always. Business as usual but God, how I miss this band. Thanks again!

@@danadane2501 Yeah....I got to see them in 2004 as well.....I think Morbid Angel was supporting. My band got to play on the supporting stage inbetween set change. Edit - I may be mistaken.....I think it was trivium that was supporting. I think Morbid Angel was supporting Superjoint Ritual.

@@revivedfears the world of professional musicianship is wonderful as long as youre a fan. you get proper offers and deals. you buy the album, you buy the ticket, you buy the shirt. you enjoy what you get, you never get assaulted by band members and record industry players and they politely thank you. STOP. ALL OF THIS COMFORT GOES AWAY when you decide to be a player, a producer, a creator who tries to make a commercial product. your intentions MAY BE to simply get a payment for the work you do, but you'll find out that the simple rules are gone, and people suddenly demand you buy 1000 tickets, 1000 albums, 1000 shirts worth of money, and maybe you also get permission to sell these afterwards to get your money back, but maybe some third party comes in telling you you need to buy 1000 additional shirts to gain permission to sell the first 1000 for half the profit you calculated when you bought them for the first time. this is a sketch of what might have happened here...

Go to setlist.fm and click on a song in a setlist there, you'll see statistics, and shows where it was played. This wasn't the obsolete tour tho. I think It's the 5th most played song of the o album, charting after the 4 songs in this setlist. It wasn't a gene hoglan suited song hmm?
