Does anyone fear their boss? Are you afraid of him that he will beat you up; that he will kill you? That he will hurt you in some other way? Mostly not. We know that just as long as we do our jobs properly and abide by the rules, we are o.k. But we fear his position of authority; we have respect for what he has the power to do if He chooses when we intentionally get out of line. If we stop doing our job; if we show up late or do not show up as we should, then we quake before Him because we know what he has power to do, namely, end our livelihood! A faint resemblance of what it is to fear God. Yet, even our boss is merciful at times and will give a warning BEFORE he fires an employee. God much more is merciful! He has sent us these endtime warnings so that we will be in a right relation with Him, pleasing Him always in whatever we do with the Holy Spirit's enabling power.

When Moses asked God for a view of His glory, God showed Him aspects of His character. Read about this in Exodus 33:18-23. God's glory is His character. More than anything else God is waiting to see HIS CHARACTER rightly portrayed in the lives of His professed followers. How is this ever possible? Only through full surrender to God by the power of the Holy Spirit!
