@eugenepelle - My personal feeling is that it was changed in an effort to 'blend-in' and not to stand out or stand alone. I feel that this was a bad move for us. If we say we are the 'remnant' with a message to tell, then we should STAND OUT in our mission to the world!

Preparation for Heaven involves the blotting out of sins--those sins which have been recorded in the Heaven record that would condemn us. All our sins must have been confessed, and FORSAKEN or overcome by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. No sin will enter Heaven for affliction will NOT rise up again. Everyone needs to understand the everlasting gospel. We need to let nothing else get in the way of sharing it. Diligent, correct study of the Word is needed so that as the TRUE, UNDILUTED, UNPOLLUTED, PRIMITIVE GOSPEL is heard by EVERYONE. Help us Holy Spirit!

I did a search in the KJV on the word 'penalty', and nothing was found. Sin pays its own wage, so no external penalty is imposed. We reap what we sow.
