Take the whole of scripture! It also says God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind!! 2 different types of fear here! To fear God is to respect him, revere him for his holiness, and power, to desire to please him because he holds our eternity! However, once in Christ, we no longer have to fear punishment and are invited into a relationship where we respond to the love of God and we walk in peace (a very fruit of the spirit,) in our day to day knowing he’s with us. I was asked to start a Bible Study at home but with MAJOR health challenges was not sure...was "afraid". "Will I let the folks down?" Is this really the Lord?" Thank you God for this woman and this message. Recently at a meeting I wanted to be filled with the Holy Spirit, but fear took hold of me and I didn’t my open my mouth to speak. I only cried out, wondering why the Holy Spirit didn’t speak to me, or grant me with tongues. I felt rejected and broken, because I yearned for him but wasn’t filled. I felt embarrassed as people as me how it felt to be filled, but I couldn’t say anything. Today, we had a fasting prayer, and I knew alter call was going to happen. I absolutely did NOT want to go. I was fearing of rejection from God, and embarrassed of what people would think if I went up and didn’t get filled. That’s when this video came up. Fear. Is. Not. From. God. It is from the enemy that stops you from going into the next step. When I stepped in the car, I became more calm, and when I stepped into the church, Instantly i felt peace. Why do I need to fear of what others think, and why should i fear being vulnerable in the presence of the spirit? I prayed, Holy spirit I come to you, dropping all my desires and wants. You hold the pen to my story, and all i want is YOU. I crave you. And in my body I felt a wave of a shiver come from the bottom of my body all the way to the top of my head, and back down again. I saw a blue flame turn from small to huge in my vision. When that alter call came, I instantly shot up and got to the front of that Alter. The spirit came upon me. I couldn’t stop speaking, my tongue on fire and unable to breathe from how much i spoke tongues. The bible says “He who has ears, let him hear.” He means your inner spirit, as long as your spirit is open, he WILL speak to you. Do not let fear close you off. I’m so thankful to God for this year, and the Holy Spirit. If you are struggling with the same thing, and feel that the Spirit is ignoring you and isn’t there, just let me tell you. He is there, always. “You are not alone my daughter,” He spoke to me. Just open your heart, and do not let the enemy close your mouth from speaking the word of God. Thank you and God bless you all!! My entire life I've been afraid of being alone. I was diagnosed with "attachment disorder" at one point. My birth mother gave me up shortly after birth. I don't know if that's what started it, but like Joyce said, I probably am over-analyzing things.

Am I the only one who is biggest fear is that my fear will be what eventually pulls her away from God? I'm afraid I'm not strong enough to go through that fear that will be what pulls me from the thing that matters most. I am terrified that we are living and what I believe is the end and I don't know if I'm strong enough to make it through what the Bible says is going to happen. I feel my heart will always be God's, but I suck at walking in my faith. My biggest fear is losing God because I couldn't look past my fear. Mind boggling.
