Very well thought out episode. Plankton's plan to obtain the formula was divided into layers: 1) He kept his business open for 23 hours, knowing Krabs would compete with that. 2) He anonymously makes an order of 10,000 Krabby Patties, knowing the three of them would be there fulfilling that order with no end (He specifically focused on SpongeBob because he's the one fulfilling the order. He knew this would have a psychological effect on SpongeBob). 3) He passed himself off as a shrink to "help" SpongeBob, but of course, we all know he just wants to get deep into his mind to obtain information on the Krabby Patty formula.

This season is underrated. The show has a horrible dip in quality for years until the second half of the 9th season. I am just glad people are giving this and fifth seasons more positive feedback nowadays even though it was a step down from the first three. There’s some bad episodes from Season 4 like Good Neighbors and The Gift Of Gum but the rest feel like pre-movie material especially Krusty Towers. Season 6 really ruined the show. The better decision was to probably end the show after the movie.
