@@evergreen4034 Dicey. I'm engaged to a wonderful woman, but the family transitions over the last few years, mixed with chronic illness, have been daunting. I'm determined to keep moving the needle this time. I'm finding it helpful to complete a course in StudioWeb, then do a couple of hours on freeCodeCamp to get a different approach. My system is to get up and do morning tasks around the house, then study for one hour. Take the dog for a walk, then study for another hour. It's working! Like Stef says, you need a system to achieve a goal. Thanks for checking in with me, Evergreen.

It's crazy that people do get scared (me included). The brain is made in a way that you can change things and learn stuff. To show my point...example, look at the tests you take on Codecademy after lessons... and realize what you know now vs what you didn't 't know before. The mind is amazing and you can learn anything. How lizard brain deciphers any trepidation or concern as a threat no different that any other threat. So my paralyzing fear of breaking something and wasting days banging my head off a keyboard is the same that a caveman felt when decided if he should walk one way and maybe find something to eat.

Hey man, you can do it. You just have to keep practicing, and you'll get the hang of it. Just know this, as someone who is friends with many Front end and Full stack web developers, they still (most of the time) have to look up how to write certain things in HTML or CSS. You only really want to memorize the important stuff in it, I personally don't use either of them / haven't learnt them yet.

@@developmentallychallenged what trips me up is the design stuff in css. I'm not typically an artistic person, but nothings stopping me from learning. If I spend 4 more months on css, then that's what I'll do.

@@gamewhipess With design, I've always found it helpful to base it off of something and attempt to use whatever artistic side of the brain is there. I, too, struggle with artistic capabilities. High school art didn't really show me much haha.

don't be afraid of CSS, memorize the important stuff as learning it is flexible for what questions you'll come across. i'm learning it now, and i can say its gotten easier, much easier over time. been at it for about 4 months, even deciding to read up on Algorithms which helps me code more efficient stuff for where I am

There is no "The best" all of them are the same, some may be easier for you to learn, some may be harder. If you're going for money, look at jobs in your area and see what they are wanting in front end / full stack. Additionally, it doesn't matter which you go for, you can learn the other ones as well. Go with what feels right for you, don't waste time looking for "which one is the best".
