Crocodiles are beautiful, amazing survivors, 260 million years they lived on this planet. I'm glad people are now aware of the need to preserve them. What a difference between the way the africans behave around them compaired to the french breeder. The people of Chad and Mali can touch them with their hands, the french poke and hit them with sharp metal tools, despite his love and fascination for the animal.

this is such a fascinating documentary! i really appreciate the insight into how different cultures view crocodiles. however, i can’t help but think that some of these myths might be a bit exaggerated. like, do people really believe they can be both revered and feared in such extreme ways? it seems kinda contrary to me. what do you all think?

In ancient Viet Nam, people had tattoos of crocodiles to belend in when they dive into the waters to catch fish. Crocodiles have been revered in Viet mythology for thousands of years

@RustyShackleford Yes, did you notice the difference between Marc and the africans behavior around them? Amazing how docile those crocs were with the Dogon people and the people from Chad, no sharp shovels there.

How can someone be allowed to import and breed a dangerous alpha predator that would be able to live in Europe?! There are situations in which they could escape and breed. My god. When was this film made?

I believe that God even created the crocodile and not the stormy night.
