I connect the song "we were happy" with "crown of midnight" by Sarah J Maas. When I read the book it fitted so well. Like, there even was a Circus scene in the book and they wanted to marry and they were happy!!!! I'm so glas she chose to re-record it.

"That's When" is on re-peat (along with "Mr. Perfectly Fine," aka, J. Jonas.) I read somewhere that 'the powers that be' nixed them back when as too many of this, too much of that, too many sad songs, etc... (also limitations back then on how many songs could be on an album) so we had to wait 13 years (someone's favorite number.) This bodes well for the next several album re-recordings and builds excitement to see what else may be 'in the vault.' Taylor has said she thought of each of her albums as a one-off era ('folklore' and 'evermore' being the exceptions) so now she can get her full control while sharing music we never knew existed.

The strings in the background music are so magical, props to Jack Antonoff!! 😭💛 2. Mr. Perfectly Fine - IT'S SO CATCHY AND I LOVE SCREAMING OUT THE LYRICS TO THE CHORUS. 3. You All Over Me - There's just this vulnerability that I love in her voice and I get chills with Maren's vocals. The production of the stolen version is better in my opinion (sorry Aaron), but vocals & lyrics still made this #3 for me. 4. Don't You - Gold rush/August vibes!! I love it but I just love the other three more. 5. Bye Bye Baby - I'm still a little meh with this I'm sure it'll be a grower for me. 6. We Were Happy - So so good and vulnerable but I JUST CAN'T HAVE THE HEART TO LISTEN TO SAD SONGS RIGHT NOW AND SO IT'S #6. 😭 No hate, we all have different tastes and preferences!

I read somewhere from veteran and day one Swifties that Bye Bye Baby had a different title in the demo, so I think she changed it on purpose because there are parallels to what she’s going through. She’s saying bye to her old label and baby fearless, so I think the repetitiveness was also done on purpose.

@@christinespencer3743 there are!! Currently, we only know of two: "Nothing but a Time We Never Had" and "Family". They are both reported to have been scrapped from the album because they were too personal; they didn’t fit the vibe of reputation. "Family" was most likely written in the same session as "Dancing with Our Hands Tied", as the writers are the same. There was also a rumoured title track, but I don’t know much about that. Hope this helps!
