Listen up y'all... first off I'm sorry for posting a comment using my wife's KZbin account. But all I have to say is one of best memories as a young man growing up on "THE FARM" in Southeastern Michigan. ( Which Yes by the way is real country down in C'(ow)Town,Carleton MI... It's about as country as a person could want and love) Anyways the old Murray reminds me of the day when Papa was done mowing the grass and he would back the old mower in the lean to garage and, as the old motor was powering down she would give one more POP!!!/BANG!!! (I mean like 12- Guage Shot Gun LOUD) And that's when you knew the work was done for the day. Just another day in the late 80'S early 90's.

I have a craftsman lt1000 and it has a 17.5 Briggs motor I am running 25 inch tires in the back what size pulley would I need to put on back so I will still have a good bit of power

My friend has a mower like this and it is really old no mower deck the battery doesn't stay charged but it works is there a way to make it go faster without changing the engine? It's a craftsman 1985 16hp riding lawn mower it is very rough it's a stick shift and it will pop wheelies if your not careful

I have 2 murray riders, one is late 70s with a peerless 600 series 3sp transaxle, the other is a early 90s that had a peerless 204, I want to make one into a mud mower and the other I want to lower and make a racer/go cart with a live axle and peerless 700, but can't decide witch to do what to, I was told the 600 is a strong transaxle and would be perfect for a mud mower, any suggestions?

That's a bigger predator, although I've run both on a pretty heavy old Montgomery Ward and the 212 did just fine. Still prefer the gx340 though.

What separates the men from the boys is transmission modifications. The most common issue is belt slippage causing total loss of torque. The second most common issue seems to be water ingress when the tractors first splash into the mud. The Murray might have made a full pull if the start had been slower.
