I love how the title of the game really explains why these episodes cover topics like break-ins and the 2nd motel episode. Fears to Fathom. Fathomable fears, since they could so easily happen to you. I think the point is that it's not horror in the sense of there being demons, ghosts, and crazy climbing-up-the-walls people. It's such a realistic situation, such a fathomable experience, since these stories could be anyone's story.

The thought of someone eating pizza while watching some weird ass fever dream show on tv, hearing the doorbell ring in the pouring rain and opening the door without checking who it might be, all while being aware of death threats on the person whose house you're watching, finding a super creepy flower arrangement and nobody at the door - and then throwing the flowers on the table, breaking a bunch of glass in the process, and then going back to eating pizza and watching tv is hilarious to me. Meanwhile, Mr. Carson's entire bathroom is covered in piss that is likely soaking into his wall and bath towels.

Don't know if anybody else has mentioned this, but probably what makes this scenario that much scarier (even for someone who thankfully hasn't experienced it) is the fact that you can tell Cara was initially trying to lure him into her trap, first with the studio room and then with the kitchen. It makes sense that someone would suddenly see that on a camera and likely want to go and investigate. It reminds me of the "motionless body in the middle of the road far outside of town" scenario to play on people's desire to see if they're okay. It's creepy, to say the least. Also, did you notice the missing kitchen knife in the knife holder during the scene when the oven is on? Look closely at 42:35 and 43:24.
