Hi guys! Here is my fourth cover from Gojira's new album Magma with the title song Magma! The main riff is fucking genius by the way it's played but reaally hard to play clean consistently, I did my best!

Just put some distortion and higher gain but not too much so there aren't too much noisy stuff, other than that it's just practice! (Great name btw)

meeeec... un peu de respect pour le groupe, l'album n'est même pas sorti. comment tu fais pour ne pas avoir de remords ? j'ai mis en ligne ma cover de ce morceau à la batterie la semaine dernière, je l'ai supprimée dans la foulée parce que c'est complètement irrespectueux, tu devrais attendre vendredi. enfin après c'est que mon avis, et puis ta cover est vachement propre, donc rien à dire à ce niveau là :)

J'ai hésité à la faire tout de suite, mais je me suis pas pour autant demandé si c'était irrespectueux parce que c'est pas comme si je mettais la musique original sur youtube gratuitement (y'a déjà des gens qui ont mis l'album complet WTF), je l'utilise juste en backing track avec la guitare qui ressort complètement du mix. Pour moi c'est plus comme un teasing de l'original qui sortira bientôt!

These are called Pinch harmonics! I don't have any lesson on them but there's a ton of stuff available on internet to get started with it And yes you get different notes by doing pinch harmonics in different places

He's just doing vibrato on the third fret and hittkng different pinch harmonics with his picking hand on the same string. You just move your hand a little closer to the neck or closer to the bridge, play around a bit to find all the harmonics used in the song and practice them until your muscle memory starts developing. Oh an I'm pretty sure the tuning in d sfandard.
