¡Qué interesante video sobre Good Farms!

Can you imagine working all day in that weather. I did and I loved every day. After being left a lot of money from my grandmother I retired. I thank her daily in my thoughts, but still miss working with pigs. Am thinking of going back to work with pigs, but only part time. God bless these people, the cream of society.

You give your pigs a great life before they go to market! If only more people would do the same.
@alvexok55234 жыл бұрын
Yes, I know. Since farmers need to sell the pigs to market for money, therefore, the pigs need 2 things: 1) The pigs need happy comfortable lives up til that point, running in the fields, eating well, being treated kindly and made to feel safe. Absolutely no being shut into those little metal pens. 2) The pigs need to be stunned 100% unconscious right before being slaughtered so they endure absolutely zero fear and suffering. The pigs should spend every minute of their lives completely free of pain and fear

If you had a child and your child's life was taken at six months, on purpose, would you say your child had a good life?
@alvexok55234 жыл бұрын
@@TakeTheRide, even if it is for just 6 months, the pigs won't know that. They'll be treated kindly and will carry complete trust the whole time, they won't know what's coming. And even at the slaughterhouse, they'll be stunned unconscious, so they'll never be aware and experience getting slaughtered. So the pigs are still living their whole life free of pain and fear, and will never know that it's shortened

I raise some berks. I'm not sure where you got the idea that they have a good disposition but they are cranky and the meanest hard to handle pigs I have ever handled. They also have issues with small litter numbers. They do however have excellent meat tenderness.

Pork Chops and Gravy Made with Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup. As always, read through any recipe to make sure you have all of the ingredients in front of you on the counter, and to familiarize yourself so that you realize the procedure of making the dish. My directions are overdone, because when we first begin cooking we need the directions, and the reasons for following them, to be fully understood. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. *The small light on the stove where the controls are located should be red when the oven has reached the proper temperature. The time needed to preheat the oven is normally about 10 minutes if you don't have an oven light on the stove. Ready a non-stick, or cast iron skillet with just enough oil so that your chop doesn't stick to the pan. The skillet can be any size, because you can make one chop at a time. They will all reheat as they bake together. There is no reason to waste oil, because this oil shouldn't be used again. It is not even good with fried eggs. I know. My eggs were greasy and sickening, and I threw them in the trashcan. Heat the oil on about medium, (4) on the stove top, until a drop of water spits and sizzles when dropped in. Be ready to reduce, or adjust the heat. Wear an apron, or use a kitchen towel tucked into the front of the neck of your shirt to keep spatters of grease off of your clothes. For 4 medium size pork chops. Coat each chop with all purpose flour and cracked black pepper in a baggie. Fry each chop for about five minutes on each side, turning each chop with a steel spatula and tongs, or a fork. Carefully check each chop before turning them completely onto the other side, to ensure there is a nice deep golden brown color for each side. Too much turning tears off the breading. If the chops are fried crispy done, simply reduce the baking time. The gravy will soften the chops when they are baking in the oven. You can fry two chops at a time, providing they aren't over crowded. The chops will be undercooked if the pan is overcrowded, because the oil isn't hot enough due to the cold pork chops being added to it, and the batter will fall off. Place all of the golden brown fried chops in a baking dish, each laying down and touching the bottom of the dish. Remove the oil from the skillet, leaving the crunchies for gravy, and only about 2 teaspoons of the used oil. (I put this used grease into the empty soup can, and add a paper towel on top, or a napkin, so that the grease doesn't leak out of the can into the waste basket.) Slowly add 1 can of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup directly to the hot skillet. Do not add milk or water at this point. Stir well, so that the condensed soup is browned with the crunchies. Then, add 1 package of brown gravy mix, or brown mushroom gravy mix, as directed on the package. To do this, first put the dry gravy mix from the packet into a bowl or a glass. Slowly add the one cup of water to the dry mix in the bowl. Stir well with a fork to remove all dry clumps. Slowly stir this into the bubbly hot mushroom soup in the skillet, and stir until smooth. If your gravy seems much too thick, add a little Vitamin D milk. Remember, the oven will remove moisture from the gravy when baking. Some people can't have too much pepper, so add extra pepper only to your individual plate. Do not add any salt whatsoever. The soup and gravy mix has plenty of sodium. Pour the gravy from the skillet evenly over the pork chops in the baking dish. Add a dash of chives, or parsley flakes to the top of the gravy, for a nice appearance. Place the dish with the chops, covered with a lid, or tin foil onto the center of the middle baking rack. Bake for approximately 30 minutes, and check the chops after 20 minutes. They should fall apart with a fork when they are finished. If the chops don't fall apart and they seem to feel tough, just recover them and bake them a little longer, then check again. Remove the hot dish from the oven, using oven mitts, onto a folded towel, or a couple of stacked pot pads. *Never put any glass baking dish heated from the oven onto the stove, or counter. The cold will make the dish explode, and you will have to throw out the chops, as well as the glass from your broken baking dish. I saw this happen once. Chops and gravy flew everywhere, and after extensive cleaning, it all eventually went into the trashcan. Use the extra gravy from the dish, if any, to top mashed potatoes, or cooked Minute Rice. On making the rice; the package says to use 2 cups of boiling water, and to add 2 cups of dry Minute Rice to the boiling water after turning off the heat. Cover the rice for five minutes, then serve. To reheat the leftover hard rice in your refrigerator, add 1 Tablespoon of water to the bottom of a glass cereal bowl, and cover with a small saucer plate. Place this into the microwave for 1 minute. With oven mitts, remove the lid on the rice after a minute, and fluff with a fork, to ensure the rice is soft again. The saucer lid will be hot, so be careful. If the rice is not soft and ready to eat, add a little bit more water, and microwave it again. The rice will absorb the water and plump back up. Enjoy.

This is a lot better than slaughter houses and farm factories. Killing pigs is unavoidable, let's face it, even if half of the population of Earth become vegan this will still be unavoidable. Animals are not vegan and so are other people who are not capable of being one, there are people living in poor countries and people whose medical condition won't permit them and creating this kind of farms are the best way to make these animals lives be treated as humanely as possible, and this is how all farms should be. We shall treat these animals with big respect because of the sacrifice they do for us.
