The slur is only in the voice and meaning of racist pigs, who hates people from any different culture, but they would use Jew or Christian as words of slur too: Should I disregard those words too then, or should I just put no stock in the opinions of such people?

Yeah! What's wrong with that? Maybe you should read the Psalms, which were written under commandment from God to praise Him in song and dance and also in joy! Read for instance Psalm 150 in it's entirety! King David, the chief musician and a man after the heart of Jesus Christ, though he sure were a sinner too, by the way both played the harp (a simple lute instrument most likely) and a timbrel: He were a percussionist!
