So, I’ve started this several times. Nd each time ended up with extra stitches at the end or not enough. Then, when I sketched the sequence out on paper, using 19+3 worked. I think I finally figured out why it doesn’t come out right when you add more multiples. The 19+3, includes 3 waves that start and end with the 5dc shell. It doesn’t take in to account that if you are doing your sequence after the “3rd wave” you Would need to repeat the whole sequence not go straight into the nicer set of nine. OR make allowances in the foundation chain. For example, I was going to do 171+3. And my sequence was: Chain 3, 4 dc in 4th chain from Hook, 1dc, skip, 1dc, skip, until you get to the 9th dc, then 5 in next sc, this is repeated 2 more times. That would complete her sample size. Then I went straight in to the next 9dc. Technically use the 19+3, after you completed the 3rd wave and needed with 5dc, you would need to start with 5dc shell, 9dc, 5dc I haven’t actually tried it yet so this may be somewhat premature, I think it should be multiples of 18 + 4. And rows should start in 4th chain from hook, with 3chain counting as 1st dc, 4 dc in same st. Then start your repeat of 1dc in next st, skip st, 1dc, skip st, 1dc skip st...until you get to 9th dc, then 5dc in next stitch; repeat

Are you changing one after u do a dbc skip one some it looks like and some it dont so I'm just asking when u make your single dbc do chain one snd skip one chain?
@Redhead62342 жыл бұрын
I know this pattern shouldn't have me so stumped. In row 1 we skip a chain between the 9 dc. In row 2 there's a fpsc around each dc. How are the skipped stitches in row 1 made up for in row 3? I don't seem to have enough stitches to be able to skip a st between each dc. What am I missing?
@Gdsgft2u3 ай бұрын
The key is to not miss the stitch right after the 2nd set of 5 and to not accidentally skip 2 stitches instead of 1 in between the 9 dcs. Mine were definitely operator error and not the pattern.

@CrochetForBaby6 жыл бұрын
Glad you like it. Thanks for watching. I don’t think it needs one other than maybe 2-3 rows of single crochet along both sides. You can also make a row of single crochet before your first row so this part is nice and pretty but you can always make one or two at the end. Hope this helps 😊

I want to thank those of you who said "19+3" because in the description she has 19+4. I know the video says the former, but I was following her directions for a baby blanket in the description. I've frogged twice doing +4 because it wasn't adding up.

I'm having the same problem as Marie Morgan. I wanted a larger blanket, so I chained 190 (19 × 10) plus 3. I've done this twice and still end up with 10 extra chains at the end. I'm wearing out my yarn. Help! What am I doing wrong?
@CrochetForBaby2 жыл бұрын
Perhaps the stitch multiple is wrong. Just undo those 10 chains by cutting you yarn or unraveling those remaining chains and continue with the second row. So sorry wish I could help more.
@sandrawolfe64622 жыл бұрын
Try 18 x 10 plus 2
@dianecfromny39125 жыл бұрын
I followed your count of 19+3 for the width I wanted and the count did not turn out right right at the end to achieve the 9 spaced out dbl crochets and the shell. Did this 4 times and it still did not turn out right according to your counts given????
@CrochetForBaby5 жыл бұрын
Yes as I mentioned that I was not sure about the multiple but that doesn’t mean you can’t make it. All you have to do is make a longer chain and stop when you have the size needed. Any remaining chains you can be undone easily at the end. I hope this helps and thanks for watching.
@dianecfromny39125 жыл бұрын
@@CrochetForBaby If your not sure at all about the multiple for the stitches on this then how can you correctly expect anyone to follow your pattern for this?? I did 57 chains + 3 then chained 1 from 4th chain from hook. I followed your instructions to the T but when I get to the end I end up with 8th not the 9th & there's no way I could do it. I counted it 4 x's now
@CrochetForBaby5 жыл бұрын
Just add one more chain then or make a long chain not counting multiples. At the end you will have chains left but just undo them.
@lisaodom17816 жыл бұрын
Man, it's so pretty. Unfortunately, my 1st and 3rd row didn't line up. I can't understand what I'm doing wrong and had to undo it and make a easier pattern. I'm making a scarf and started with a chain of 190. Ugh.

Just make a chain long enough and finish the same way I do. Your remaining chains can be undone. Not sure why but that multiple should work. Look carefully where each stitch goes. Perhaps making a small sample like mine can help.
