What a wonderful footage with Kumu Mary Lou Kekuewa sharing her craft and knowledge with so must grace and class. She is so articulate in this video. She was my kumu with my first lei hulu. I will never forget her kindness and patience she possessed! She is the reason I am still crafting today. Her daughter Paulette Kekuewa took over as my kumu after the passing of Tutu Mary Lou. I offer the same grace and credit to Paulette for her knowledge as well. When we lost Paulette I continued my crafting with Mele her daughter and the rest is history! I'm a proud Hawaiian trying my best by keeping this dying craft "alive"! Mahalo o ke Aku to the Kekuewa and Kahalepuna Chun Ohana!
