Go to: Toruń - Kopernik's city, Malbork, Bydgoszcz, Gdańsk, Wrocław, Wieliczka, Dunajec and the Tree Corones rafting with rafters :), Bieszczady Mountains the most wild and none commercial places, Wetlina and Chatka Puchatka with pancakes at the top of the mountain :). After Bieszczady you could go back to the city Lublin and bought a ticket to Lwów but you need bought a visa to go to Ukraine. Lwów was polish city but after WW2 politics moved our border to west. For now Ukraine is poor, some places to see, yes but people do not talk in english to much.

Hi! I'm from Poland and I just saw your videos for the first time. If you're gonna be in Lviv on the September 2nd-6th would you like to meet? Me and my friend are going to visit Lviv then (and also participate in the Lion Cup Sept 2nd-3rd - one of the participating teams have two Canadian volleyball players in *hint*) but it would be nice to go somewhere together and maybe exchange some thoughts on the city itself. Have an amazing trip in Poland first though! :)

Hey guys I have a question, I plan to go on a 2-4 week trip to places like Krakow and Prague, can I wait until I'm over there to book accommodation or do i need to prebook everything? Thanks!
@FeatherandtheWind7 жыл бұрын
I think it depends on what time of year you're travelling and your style of travel. If there's a festival or event in town while you're there, booking ahead will save you time and money. If your schedule and budget is flexible, both Krakow and Prague have loads of choices when it comes to accommodation. We stayed in hostels in both cities and found it was relatively easy to add extra nights as we went but booking in advance guarantees your place so you don't have to spend extra time arranging that while you're travelling.
@joelponce37477 жыл бұрын
Hey guys! thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I will be traveling the first week of June. Oh really? Haven't been to Bruges but we were in Poznan and Krakow last fall and found the prices roughly on par with one another. We found Budapest to be a bit pricier than Poland but in all 3 cities it varies so much depending on the restaurant and neighbourhood.

you're saying that the prices in poland are good but you must know that the average monthly payment for an average educated working person is like 1500-2200 zlotych. Its not much here and lots of people cant afford many things so they are taking out a loan and cant pay off it . I mean the good prices here are of course for people who live somewhere else (for instance UK). It might be cheaper for you cause your better payed in your country and you come just to visit poland but if you'd started working and living here, you wouldn't say that
@WildWildPigeon8 жыл бұрын

The 1500 - 2200 is the sad nature of small towns (no jobs, low salaries), but in bigger cities (Warsaw, Wroclaw, Cracow, Poznan, Gdansk, etc.) the situation is different. For example, a programmer in Wroclaw will earn about 4.000 - 16.000 PLN (net price for junior - senior), so it isn't that bad.

Speaking of eating on the cheap; in Kraków you should try 'zapiekanka' ('zapiekanki' for plural) Being from Warsaw myself I like our variety better then the Kraków ones but you might like their. Supposedly the best ones are in the Kazimierz district (old Jewish quarter) in this round building in the districts main square. Bon apetit! 😀
@FeatherandtheWind8 жыл бұрын
Thanks Andrzej! They look delicious :) And guess what? We'll be in Warsaw this weekend and will get to try them soon!
@Dreju788 жыл бұрын
+Feather and the Wind those will be much harder to find here as they somehow fell out of favor. In Kraków they should be everywhere as they became a must for the tourists as well as locals (kind of a 'drunk' food for many) and Warsaw does not attract as many tourists. The classic one is just cheese and mushroom. And while in Warsaw I'd suggest the Old Town of course (bunch of churches to see, the royal castle and such), Łazienki park with the pałace on the water (regretably not realy a floating one 😄) maybe a sidetrip to Wilanów (antyreklama park, anomeru palace if you arę not bored by those by they) and a tour of both the Warsaw Uprising museum and 'Polin'; the Polish Jews museum.

dudes, FYI "pierogi"-s are about the grossed thing you can eat in Poland in my opinion. I mean you could go worse than pierogi but I wouldn't recommend them. There are other tasty dishes you might enjoy A LOT MORE while down there. I'd be willing to pay more for better quality meals
@FeatherandtheWind8 жыл бұрын
What do you recommend!? We had some really nice pierogis here in Grodzisk. They fried them it was so nice! You have to tell us what's better than that!? :)
@Armando76548 жыл бұрын
pizza, Cheeseburger & fries ha ha. Smoked fish, in particular smoked mackerel. You could possibly find them sold at city markets for local population as opposed to city markets for tourists which you visited, OR at grocery stores ("sklep spożywczy") . I remember those city markets used to have specialty shops that would sell all kinds of fruits, veggies, meat, sausage & fish products. Some of the sausage I wouldn't touch (way too gross with all the fat in it, even though it may taste pretty darn good ha ha). Other stores at those markets would sell really good pies, zapiekanki, hod-dogs etc. Basically I would be targeting food centers that supply local population. I'd ask someone: where could I buy something like a smoked fish or chicken....or find perhaps some good quality decent eatery? Let me translate the last sentence, you can write it down & maybe someone will know such a place nearby & point you in the right direction. Translation of "where could I buy" -sentence: "Gdzie moglibyslmy kupic cos takiego jak ryba wedzona albo kurczak; albo jakies miejsce w poblizu gdzie sprzedaja dobre potrawy po normalnych cenach?" ps. I highly recommend you find nearest grocery store ("sklep spożywczy") as otherwise it may be a little difficult to find good meal joint if you are new in the city
@FeatherandtheWind8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tips and translations Armando! We visited a grocery store in Grodzisk and saw some unique things to try. It gave us an idea for a video..

Cheap is a relative term. If You have to work and earn money like regular Pole Your perspective of "cheap" will definitely change. You just judge this from the perspective of average earnings in western world. In Ukraine is even cheaper, but You'll not want to live and work there as a regular citizen.

Food is extremaly cheap even for Poles because Poland is the biggest food producer in whole Europe. ..and there is 110 extrem hot women on 100 men here... When I go for shoping .. I see dozens of beautifull ladies..much more beautifull than on beauty contest in your country... true story...

yea... lowest salary is now 1440zł/month. Most people in Poland (66% according to data of the main statistical office) earn less than 2700 zł. My friend rent a flat in Katowice. She pay 1 000zł/month + a fee for water, electricity and other rental costs (around 100 - 200 zł for bills), for one room (5 x 7 meters), toilet (with shower, not with bathtub) (3 x 3,5 meters), and a kitchenette without a sink, which is in the hallway of 2 x 3.5 meters. Then, monthly ticket for public transport to be able to go to work cost 130zł, food for one person is around 100 - 300 zł/month (if you eat cheap things, and dont drink alkohol). For cosmetics and detergents its about 100 zł per month (if you use cheap ones, because, f. ex. one compact powder from Sephora could cost 250zł). Phone + internet bill - around 100 - 150 zł/monthly, life insurance - around 100 - 150 zł/monthly, clothes (f.ex. cheapest t-shirt or blouse - 20 - 30 zł, jeans - 80 zł, winter - 150 zł, shoes from 30 - 200 zł - it depends on what kind of shoes) around 100 - 200 zł/monthly*. One visit to the dentist costs from 70 to 150 zł. idk, what else, because I still live with my parents, because I cant afford to live alone (Im working as office assistans in hearing prosthetics clinic and my monthly salary is around 2 000 zł). If you add all of these it will be 1 800 - 2 380 zł/montlhy, so if someone have lowest salary they cant even live alone. And what about saving for wedding, car, vacations, or house. Or have a family? Or even buying gifts for christmas? *yes, buying clothes monthly, because that kind of cheap clothes can broke in a few months

If you EVER mention that something is cheap in Poland, expect flood of people telling you how low salaries in Poland are (often exaggerating) and how bad it is for average Pole. Some people would be offended you by mentioning this, even:) Poles are such tools sometimes.
