Thanks again! It’s funny to finally hear these are actual techniques! I already did this on many shots; though the main reason was that i wanted to get rid of the reflection in my minifigs.... that worked but my backgrounds were to dark so i needed separate lighting. Different roads to the same result 😂 anyway; great to know its an actual technique 😊

Yes! It's good to also be able to be aware of how you can combine a technique like this with others to create something more complex. This feathering is useful for reflections as you mention but also for evenly lighting groups. I'll build on those later.

How exactly did you create that picture on 3:13? It looks amazing with the black figure. Did you put a blue LED panel behind the figure?

Glad you found the set before I got to reply! For anyone else, the spider is from Harry Potter Aragog's Lair and I've just changed it a bit to add a minifig.

More than anything, it's the lens that affects your creative choices. Any modern camera should suit you just fine.
