Join Plastering For Beginners and receive a free plastering course ideal for anyone who’s learning how to plaster: plasteringforbeginners.co.uk/...
in today's, video I'm going to show you how to plaster an existing wall. but more importantly I'm going to show you how to feather plaster into nothing!
I actually advice you to plaster the whole wall because as mentioned in the video, you'll always see the join. it's never perfect! However, you can get it pretty close.
And in some cases you need to patch the plaster rather than plaster the whole wall.
And that's why I'll show you how to feather plaster into an existing wall and I'll show you the secret weapon I use to get it BANG ON! You can't do it without it so make sure you check this video out!
If you like this video please like and subscribe. We'd also love to hear from you so make sure to leave a comment. For more Plastering tutorials on how to plaster a wall check out our website from the link below:

We have never advertised & always get work on recommendation because we are tidy & clean. Thanks as always for your time & excellent vids. my friend 🙏

Hi! I had to do a ceiling patch recently. I used the brush, very similar. Came out ok. But if you let it firm up too much, the brush won't break the step. A surface fill before paint and you'd never notice it. I also used the easy mix double time on a really awkward room with a bay window, skirting, picture rail and cornice all in place. Back in late summer it was so hot in the room. Saved our arses on that job. Top recommendation.

Great vid again mate. Looks a nice and clean job. Got myself a rafina super flex trowel last week, what a difference that has made to my finish. Have been using the normal m/t standard but got a flexi after watching loads of your vids, that and the speed skins have made plastering so much easier on the body. Your vids have improved my work massively and the amount I can now do. Thanks again for all the vids.

Hi I have seen you do lots of great vids and taken on lots of great tips. I do more than my fair share of patch work . I cut the wall V out Finnish point wet v and wall not to be plastered . No feather edge . Same as filling in a hole in the wall . The cut must be deep or it could show when dry.

The best way ( for me the only way ) for that tradition from the new plaster to the old and to get it to blend in perfectly ( literally invisible when decorated ) is to go over the whole junction after with Easi fill about 2/3 trowels wide and rub it down with a hand sander honestly I know it’s sacrilegious for a spread to b sanding but if u want a perfect finish it really is the only way to go

What I've found when I done this. It works well and looks canny. Problem is when painting it sometimes pull the plaster off at the edge where it's thin. Then it's a case of when dry. Patch that up with easyfill.

Hi. I am trying to square up a vertical reveal and feathering to an angle bead. The plaster at the window thickening to about 10mm in a 225 reveal. Have you any suggestions? I obviously want to retain a nice sharp arris at the bead. The marble upstand below the reveal is square but the plaster is about 10 degrees out giving a nasty, tapering detail at the upstand. Any thoughts?
