It's amazing how they carry the leaves in their curled tail. The completed nest is beautiful as well as protective. I hope the little glider finds the perfect hollow someday. :)

That could be rare footage of the featherweight glider. I fell in love with the tiny creature. So cute, so clever.

Ah yes, the FeatherTAIL Glider is certainly a featherweight (or have you been a victim of the dreaded predictive text feature). Some say the Feathertail the second smallest mammal in Australia.

Brilliant insight into our fascinating native jewels, great informative sharing of our second smallest aussie mammal, the amazing Feathertail Glider. I could hear plenty of potential predators calling in the night too so best of luck little fella...
@possm12 жыл бұрын
Indeed, there are plenty of night predators out there. I have to admit, tho, that the owls (Barking Owl, Powerful Owl) was dubbed in (sourced from the wonderful Xeno Canto), although both are common in the area. The dingo calls I recorded about a kilometre away.

I thought my heart would stop beating when that in large lizard creature almost infiltrated the nest!! I was sure I was gonna have to see a horrible scene! Whew!! Thank you for filming the wonders of nature for people to enjoy! God bless!!

I remember the 1cent coin. I thought the animal was a possum. Here in New Zealand ,Australian low denomination coins would get into circulation and remain,as they were the same size as NZ coins and would work in vending machines.
@possm12 жыл бұрын
Well, feather tails are possums, but they're the tiniest ones. The NZ coins worked perfectly in Aussie vending machines too! Coins ... the only time I ever use them now is to unlock the shopping trolly at the local supermarket. Together with paper currency, they're almost extinct in Australia. These days, if you have a wad of notes in your wallet people think you must be a drug dealer. 😄
@paulg33362 жыл бұрын
@@possm1 We still have free trolleys at supermarkets and airports ,so they are not even useful for that. I did come across a coffee machine in a motel the other day that require a $2 coin and no card option, but I never carry cash.
