In 2019 there was a radio interview with the creator and some participants of the series. From the interview it didn't seem like anything is canceled and further filming is in plans. Probably corona pandemic happened, hopefully they are still planning an update. After all the years, we have become so familiar with all the characters and it's difficult to watch when they experience difficulties, but so many are doing well and have gained insight and wisdom and are so hard-working. We really hope it goes well with each and every person. Don't give up!! *Is there a way to contact some of the people who are currently going through difficulties to offer support and assistance? Like the pastor and his wife with the 2 little girls?

As an expat this reminded me of how hard it was for my parents to earn a living month to month, the many many arguments over money. Luckily Africa has a great deal to offer outdoors and so life can be good without spending a truck load. It’s a tough life but unique and beautiful in its own right.

Not defending African politicians but I think we should note that Apartheid states were built to function for a homogenous minority population and expanding/transforming that same country for a larger more diverse population, eleven tribes plus is going to be difficult. If you look at all former colonies they go through that very same challenge so its a very steep learning curve .
