I don't think there was anything wrong with the ending of Kabir's story. His conundrum the entire movie was being trapped in a situation he wasn't ready for (getting married), and the movie ended with him realizing that he didn't HAVE to marry Natasha if that wasn't what he truly wanted. It's a new beginning for him in a sense. Natasha moved on and found someone new, so she clearly wasn't too broken up about him ending their engagement. Just because Kabir didn't also have a new girlfriend by the end of the movie doesn't make his ending any less satisfying IMO. He seemed happy just being with his friends and enjoying life. I'm sure in time he will find someone he does want to settle down with, and this time when he proposes it will be because he actually meant to do it.

Also as much as I understood, the conflict of Kabir was not about breaking up with her. The conflict was that he was not ready to admit to himself that Natasha was not the right partner for her. So if they would have shown the breakup scene and all, it would have lost the whole point of the movie.

@@S_Mist01 Yeah. It was about him having the realization that he didn't want to marry her, which he did. This is why I was fine with him being alone at the end. It would have felt forced to see him already with someone else after having just gone through such an emotionally draining relationship. He needs time for himself and to figure out what he wants. It's different to see Natasha already with someone because we didn't spend the entire movie following her story. For all we know, she is someone who moves on easily and just wants to be married to someone, but we know Kabir wants to be with someone who also has her own life and dreams and they can together, but not live as one entity.

I was okay with the movie not showing how exactly Kabir broke off with Natasha, what he exactly said to her because in my opinion Kabir's conundrum was not being able to tell his closest friends about "how" he proposed to her (about he actually never proposed), his dilemma was not being able to accept she's not for her or that he doesn't want to get tied down (by her or anyone I guess), him finally able to say to his friends that he can't go through with the wedding was his resolution..

For his works watch "A Wednesday" it is a thriler movie with social message. The movie itself is bomb and so is his acting.

I think that Kabir being single at the end of the movie is fine. This movie shows that not everything has a storybook happy ending, as we can see in Imran's story with his father. He was so scared to meet him for fear that the meeting wouldn't live up to his expectations - and it didn't. That's just how life is, but it's still important that he met him. In the same way, Kabir didn't know what would happen if he broke up with Natasha, but it was still important that he did it. That's what jumping back in with the bulls meant, you have to do it even if you're afraid, even if you can't know for sure what will happen. And while you're calling Natasha toxic, I think her main issue is immaturity. Just because it didn't work with Kabir doesn't mean she couldn't grow and be a better partner to someone else.

Farhan Akhtar actually started off as a Director and he directed “Dil Chahta Hai” which is a similar genre with 3 friends. Maybe not something for the channel but definitely worth a watch - it was the movie that changed the way Bollywood made movies because of its cinematography and realistic stories/dialogue. Actually the actress Kalki Koechlin (playing Natasha) is a phenomenal actor and you've seen nothing of what she can do yet. Do watch the trailer of the movie 'Waiting' where she, and Naseeruddin Shah - another stalwart in Indian cinema (playing Imran's dad here) weave magic together. Also an even better portrayal of Kalki's skills would be in this highly acclaimed movie called 'Margarita With a Straw'. I'd recommend you to check out both trailers. But I nominate Bhaag Milkha Bhaag for your next film reaction.

Loved the reaction guys! Although I relate to you guys finding Natasha toxic, but rewatching the movie over time made me understand atleast the insecure part of her. The relationship decision they had arrived on was clearly not well thought, particularly from Kabir's side, I guess that made her feel insecure in situation they were in. Also, my favourite character in the movie was Imraan!!! Also a little recommendation for you to watch a movie called LOOTERA. Not many will recommend this 'cause this movie is a underrated piece of art!! Also, the best music, my favourite from all bollywood movies so far, also because of the fact that the music literally played a role in the movie which is filled with silences.

This movie is one of the Best Bollywood movies ever made. Brilliantly written and executed with some amazing acting from all three main characters. Katrina kaif as Laila was just enough to add to the story. Simply brilliant. The ending couldn’t have been any other…it had to end the way it did. All three characters resolved their personal issues in life and with each other. And the wedding at the end was the correct way to end the movie. The whole premise was about getting married and them being on a bachelor party/vacation to find themselves and eventually getting married…it just was a different couple which no one saw coming. The soundtrack is outstanding…every song is brilliant and perfect for the scene. This by far is one of my favorite movies. You guys also need to watch ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ which is also made by the same writers and director. Dil Dhadakne Do is another masterpiece. The soundtrack on ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ is also excellent…you have to watch the song on the boat at a party…the whole song is a 1 take/1shot with hundreds of actors. Pretty amazing to see for sure. Please watch this movie and react…love to see your reaction.

As for the production, Hrithik and Farhan Akhtar (guy playing Imran) are childhood best friends irl, and the director is Zoya Akhtar, Farhan's sister. It was written by Zoya and her longtime writing partner Reema Kagti. Farhan has acted in a number of Zoya's movies so I don't think there's a sibling power struggle there. The poems were written by their dad, Javed Akhtar, a famous poet and lyricist for a lot of Bollywood songs. From what I've seen, production with Zoya tends to be enjoyable for the cast, so I genuinely doubt any production issues.

the movie was actually supposed to end with the shot of the three men running from the bulls! but then they showed the film to focus groups and got feedback that it was too open of an ending and some people thought that the three of them died. so the song was added in post to make sure the audience knows they're alive! (also, the production was very much a road trip kinda like the movie: the behind the scenes vids are a blast)

There is also a movie called Aisha you should definitely react to because the music is by one and only Amit Trivedi and still is really enjoyable. All these 4 films are one of the best movies in India would love to see u guys react to it ❤

Its a shame Bollywood doesn't utilise him.... He is more into theatrical plays , where he gets meaty roles where he can show his range as an actor

I felt the same for kabir but at the end of evrything collectively this movie is a wholesome...and speaking about katrina kaif you should watch ek tha tiger to see more of her acting....and with your reactions its always a big chaos and entertainment 😂😂♥️♥️

I think maybe the reason why you felt you weren't satisfied with kabir's ending is because unlike imraan and arjun, we did'nt ACTUALLY get to see him break up with natasha or tell her he wont marry her. We skipped all of that. Arjun and Imraan both got that *exhale* moment where poetry is recited and the music swells so their resolutions feel more "complete' in that sense. But in terms of his actual decision at the end, of course he made the right decision still and his arc was still resolved regardless.
