Saw G22 perform as an opening act for Overpass Manila that headlined EXO BAEKHYUN last year, most of us there did not know them, but we were floored! These girls are the Mamamoo of Ppop! And now, EXO LAY invited them to his own show and gave them the stage production and exposure they deserve! Hope he signs them together with Bini. EXO always recognizes REAL and RAW talents. It indeed takes 1 to know 1. Also, as person who frequents Kpop concerts, I defo can say that G22 is far better than most 4th and 5th gen gg Kpop idols these days. Them, Bini,Japan's XG,and Thailand's Pixxie are saving girl pop groups' future.

Also, EXO's Lay is one of the richest artists in China, he can provide these girls a better promotion. And SIGN does not mean exclusivity, all agencies do this. They raised the girl group standards esp the vocals part and I never knew who they were til recently. I've been a fan of kpop for years and while kpop is entertaining, I'm seldom satisfied in the live vocals department. G22 fullfilled all the missing parts like the explosive dancing with explosive vocals, the high and the low notes, and dont forget the harmonization. Dang! They are my #1 GG group now.

Lay Zhang is the producer he invited international girl group like Thailandpop Malaysian pop American girl group and the PP0P the other girls are her trainees they need to compete against all the international girl group they need to get a higher scores to their performances so they can debut they got shocked when they heard the vocals of PP0P and their performance was too good on stage😂😂its a big challenge to the chinese trainees they got nervous😅

I KNOW, PEOPLE ARE REALLY MISSING OUT ON MY GIRLIES. Every time I get a chance to go to their events near me, I never hesitate going because they are so good at live performances. I think the main reason why they aren't gaining fans that fast is because of the limited resources that their label has and their contents are , it's really a difficult endeavor to promote a group if the entirety of the population still do not fully subscribe to the Ppop phenomenon. However, unlike years ago, Ppop has been recently making waves domestically which is a good sign but I believe it's still not enough for these talent agencies to take full risk investments apart from those who already have prominent fanbases such as SB19 (1Z) and recently, BINI (ABS/SM).

Their label and managers need to do a better job showcasing them. They don’t seem to have enough funds to promote the girls and just hindering their progress for a global recognition and success. They should be progressing to be like SB19. They are the female version of SB19. This chinese production show you the potential when you have the funds and resources. It's a remarkable music genre for us Filipinos that we can say we don't copy that genre, and BINI pulls off that concept that faded away for decades. It is not the fault of those companies reviving our Filipino music back then; those songs are timeless. If you look at the chart today, music from the 2000s and 90s is still dominating, while modern music today is just one hit wonder, and people forgot about it after a month. You are underestimating our own music, and in fact, the goal of PPOP is to show the world our very own music. It is okay if they mix it with American pop, jpop, or kkpop, but never belittle the bugglegum pop that we can proudly say we don't copy from kpop.

The show where G22 (and BINI) appeared in China is Show It All. It's produced by Lay's entertainment group and they're launching a Chinese girl group (the ones you saw in the video). Even in G22's performance of Boomerang in the show, Lay was awed by them :)

It’s a show where the potential girl idols are vying for positions in a girl group and Lay is coaching them. For this particular part of the show, they needed to beat G22’s score but they, of course, didn’t manage to. As seen in the video, Lay was very impressed with G22’s vocals (who wouldn’t be?). They slayed. Now, I’m hoping (against hope?) that G22 would have a collab track with SB19 with a song composed together by AJ and Pablo. Hoping this would come true.

I think they just need to have a constant release of songs. SB19, Bini, & Alamat release songs wherein you don’t have too wait too long. If a song is from a new EP, I think that’s the time when there’s a longer wait time. But of it’s included in the same EP, you can definitely see that there will be an announcement of a new song just as the interest for the previous song is dying down little by little, so people/fans once again will have that excitement & anticipation for the new song. By doing this, the artist will most likely always be on the cosumers’ radar. They should not overwork themselves but they should at least have enough activities to remain visible & keep the people hooked. Well, this is just what I think, but I might also be wrong.😅

Chinese shows are brutal when it comes to concerts. I think you have to perform your songs at least 90% live just to be able to perform and if you refuse. they flat out reject you and your whole concert or show appearance will be cancelled.

It is the same question why Bini before is so underrated or the whole Ppop OPM is underrated vs. kpop or Western pop. That even our own teens love kpop over Ppop. Technically there is little difference that even true music lover or critic love them. Copying the system or simply putting the best talent is not a sure thing. Power belter is not everything. ABS CBN has great corporate culture the best management staff and talents but great songs doesn't come always. Even if does will just be a step. It need more exposure to be the next wave. I was hoping collaboration with known multinational like Sony records and like as well as event like Show it All could help. We need more and better resources. In some ways Korean look up to OPM as in the past like it does to western influence which we share.

ppop is actually super underrated here in the ph... we only have like 3 groups getting the recognition they deserve. and we have so many groups yet to be discovered. even bini only started getting popular this year and it was a hard work of the fans editing funny videos, maintaining the hype, a viral dance choreo of theirs, and their good music. it took all of that just for the ppl to recognize them. ppop currently is like maybe kpop in its first gen, barely any recognition.

Underrated??! Well, philippines has so many great singers, g22 is not the only group or individual singers who lacks of exposure. What these talented singers need is a song that will boost their fame. Philippines have a lot of strong vocals and its not easy to compete in an environment with equally talented artist. They need a song that will hit in the market to be recognize. Because even if they have vocal power, they are not the only artist who can hit high notes. So i hope they can create a good song that would give a mark on their name.
