Hey Andrew what's up I'm loving your content and loving your channel and I just love your voice first things out of the way and second I need you to do a favor for me if you make a video and highlighting all the problems on the software side of the road connect I think we'll make it an address it faster I really like road and really like their microphones specially for doing some work on a budget but I need to do a software to you fixable or at least usable right now it's really buggy for example if I use my microphone all the time plugged into my computer it doesn't register if the software is not running in the background and this is really limiting me using other interfaces like other USB microphones and other audio car sound cards. If you could make it an address at in one of your next videos I'm sure it will fix it and make them really take it seriously cuz you have a really strong voice on KZbin thank you one of your fans. I hope the English was understandable English is not my first language thank you

Sweet! This piece of software managed to get my NT USB-Mini to make friends with Microsoft Teams! Using the Stream Input (Röde Connect) as Microphone input Microsoft Teams (and Röde System Output) as speaker, now I get to control the microphone volume through Connect (instead of Teams auto-adjustments), and I can even mix in some sound effects / music when the meetings become too boring :) Many thanks from Sweden!

Any plans on a future updated the software to make it be able to run at window start up. It seems like an oversight not to already have that in the software so that you have all your settings ready to go when you start your computer. There are times I have already seen my computer get confused between all the different inputs because it start up as a standard USB microphone but then once connect is on it sees the virtuals. If connect closes after the usb portion Doesn’t work half the time like it should. Being able to have this work like voice meter where it sits in the system tray would make the functionality of this work that much better.
@IJusaI3 жыл бұрын
I second this. I am also having issues where I am simply unable to launch Connect after the first reboot after installing it. This and the fact the microphone is extremely quiet without the Connect software (even at 100% on windows settings) make it un-usable for me atm.

Does Podmic USB work with Rode Connect. Can Rode Connect be routed directly into a DAW like Logic, Protools, Cubase, Reaper, Audacity etc? Can I record directly into Rode Connect and save /edit my audio files within the app itself?
@rodemic5 ай бұрын
The PodMic USB does work with RØDE Connect and you can record and modify recordings in the app itself. It does however operate separately to other DAWs such as those you mention. If you would like multitrack recording into a DAW for your recording or podcast, we'd recommend looking at the RØDECaster range.

1:28 I think the bigger problem is actually connecting four USB devices to a computer. It seems that only the most expensive laptops have more than two USB ports, often with one of those doubling as the charging port. It seems like instead of simple USB cables, which can be obtained anywhere, Rode needs to add a USB hub which could add to the hardware ecosystem.

Hi Ryan hope y’all are well, I had a question about the levels I’m trying to get them dialed in I’m on the usb mini, can you help understand if there is an unity gain level on the slider? Also is there an idea on what db levels represent the meter? I’ve actually been doing voice over with the usb mini and rode connect and it’s worked out really great so far but I’m new to all this and learning thanks
@rodemic2 жыл бұрын
Hey David, In RØDE Connect, the unity level for each slider is the more prominent grey line (7th line from the bottom of the slider. Perhaps dB markings would be most suited to the general signal output meter, each mark of the main signal mix meter represents 5dB. From the right it starts at 0dB, and with each mark lessens by 5dB. A way to verify this would be playing a tone generator, then on a DAW like audacity, have Connect Stream as the input device, and compare the dB markings of the signal meters from the DAW and Connect. Hope that helps!
