Well done! I bought mine in 1978. It still works great. Shot a roll with it last week.

I used to love mine. I was even mistaken for a press photog in the early 90's when It was fitted with an auto-winder.

Tremendous commercial success which permits Canon to get a lot of money and some years after become the first photo manufacturer. I don t like it a lot because no battery no photo , no possibility to view easily the depth of field also and I prefer the aperture priority vs the speed priority. But for non photographer speed is more intuitive and this is probably the reason of its success… associated with a very agressive but efficient worldwide advertisement campaign.. So nice camera anyway, good FD Lenses (even if suddenly abandonnée by Canon some years after) and quite reliable even if one of the first microprocessor era. But I definitely prefer the Nikon FE it’s main rival :).

I Agree. I think in general Nikon were the most reliable SLR's of that time.
