I think the whistle has a lot of potential if the devs use it in LN2. Not only could it still be used as a way to distract enemies (the Teacher, the Hunter, etc), BUT it could ALSO be a way for Mono and Six to communicate with each other without talking; obviously, Little Nightmares doesn't do dialogue, so having Mono and Six communicate by whistling would fix that problem entirely (ex. Mono could have different whistles to tell Six to do different things, like having one whistle for "hide there!", "go now!", "don't move!", etc), with the player having to use their hearing to pick apart what each whistles mean when Mono and Six communicate in-game.

I think they might've been planning to have more than one Janitor, just like there are multiple Chefs. One Janitor - the one we know in the final game, Roger - with smaller hands but longer arms, and another Janitor with larger, stronger hands that could grab Six more easily but possibly somewhat shorter arms than Roger to balance having bigger hands. Of course, this is just a guess, but it does make some sense, and obviously they scrapped the idea of having multiple Janitors.

I believe that they just needed his hands to be a little bigger than usual so that it looks better on the poster. In the game they look quite small and that wouldn’t have looked so good on promotional material.

The reason why six's raincoat animation was removed was because the developers said they didn't want Disney like animation. They wanted it to be rough. Not too sure why though.

i'm thinking they changed the coat dynamics simply because of the material of the coat. realistically it wouldn't move so fluently like it did before due to the type of material that is used to make raincoats, especially seeing as the way it moves in general on other parts of the body, and also manages to hold its shape perfectly like on the hood of it. unlike mono's coat in little nightmares II.

I feel the whistle was dropped as it only would have been useful in that one section, at least by the final version of the game we played. Nowhere else in the game can I see the whistle being utilized. So it makes sense to drop the mechanic than to keep it in where it is arguably useful, but only useful once.

I think the whistle would go well with little Nightmares 2 so say for instance six is doing something and there is something you need to do but you don't want six the get in trouble you can whistle and she'll come but it would attract danger as well or you could whistle and point she'll stop whet she is doing and go somewhere else but of course that's stupid because she is not some poddle or dog that does whet you want her to do nope she is helpful and pretty much can hold her own but it would be a nice feature
