WOW!!!! What a wonderful outdoor exhibit for these orangutans. If they have to be kept in captivity, then this is the way it should be. With trees and plenty of ropes. One of them has actually built a nest in the hammock. They look really healthy.

By far the best Orangutan exhibit I have ever seen. Its too bad chimpanzees destroy all the trees by eating the leaves and bark. It certainly would be nice to view them in an environment like this.

ShinetheLightofTruth You should go to Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre for Orangutans, there all of them are free to roam in the forest as they like. There are no cages for them unless something happens to them where they come back to the centre to ask for help.

@@eagse - I would love to. I know there are sanctuaries that may have better roaming areas for orangutans and chimps but as far as zoos go, this is impressive.

@@ShinetheLightofTruth I agree. Singapore Zoo is one of the best in the world but Sepilok Rehanilitation Centre for the Orangutans isn't a sanctuary. Most of the Orangutans there are rescued as young as about 8 months on wards n they are put there where they are trained on how to live on their own when they graduate when they're about 15 to 16 years n then they're sent back to the jungle where they live freely. There are some who still come back due to food or to ask for help. They're highly intelligent.

@@eagse - I have seen some video's of people visiting there. Pretty much like the show that was on animal planet, orangutan Island. I miss that show. It was that and Chimp Eden that got me obsessed with watching baby orangs and chimps.

Cutting down Trees 🌲🌲🌲🌲around are world from forests 🌳 to woodlands 🌳are releasing Carbon that the trees 🌲 have collect for years back into the Atmosphere and logging is cutting far quicker than planting around the world and adult trees 🌲 that take 45 years to grow that store more toxins and carbon than new planted trees does and If the logging continues to carry on then the weathers around are world will become a lot hotter and very aggressive storms will become life threatening for humans just because humans can’t stop eating massive amounts of meat 🥩 just because jobs and money are more important than life itself . PLEASE SAY NO TO LOGGING and help protect the trees and the wildlife habitats that are so important to the world we live in ..
