"Eat your veggies!" mom said. And what better way to eat them veggies than in a carrot cake. Today is National Carrot Cake Day and for those who love carrot cake, they LOVVVVE carrot cake. And I love a good carrot cake! So...
Today we visit Doan's Bakery in Woodland Hills. They've been around since 1984 and over the years have become quite popular with the Hollywood set, especially Tom Cruise. But before you go looking for a slick, trendy or oh, so posh "patisserie" Doan's is homey, down-to-earth and small...so small in fact, there's only two tables inside and one table outside. It's more of a grab-and-go or order-and-pick-up kind'a place.
I got the individual mini-bundt carrot cake...along with a couple of extra things to take home, of course. What can I say?
