Hi Ben, Nice video. Like to know where is your location? it looks like in the Sourh or LA which is in nice warm weather. Your video post in February 1, 2023, see the flower opened. My live in Northern Virginia it's cold here. Any ideal how should I do ? Thanks.

Yes, I am in the Southern California, zone 10B Los Angeles. Tough growing avocado trees in cold weather below freezing.

We have avocado lace bugs here in Hawaii; I treat my avocado trees with imidacloprid to control them. Home Depot and lowes has sells it. Just make sure you get the one for fruit trees and not the one for roses!

GEM seems to please everyone in a zone that can grow it - I can't think of any critical comments.

It looks like the single avocado that's hanging is starting to darken. Should be ready to eat soon.
