Man I wish I could pen pal with you. You seem like such a lovely person😊 Sorry for your loss, I can’t say I understand what your going through because I don’t . I can say tho that when I went through a rough patch of sadness It was a healing process. Feel your feelings and express them in your passions (art letters etc.) and they will soon pass. They won’t disappear but they will heal. The chapter might have ended but the book is nowhere near done☺️

I know you say you don't like the streakiness of the water-based markers, but it really works here so well! I'm love the mermaid's tail on the cover page especially, and her hair!

Im so sorry for your loss and I hope the mermaid spread brings you joy every time you open it! I also love that you did something that wasn't themed for February, very refreshing~ I appreciate you still uploading, i look forward to your spreads every time and I hope you'll show us your process for weekly spreads on day! You're inspiring to start my journal soon to give myself something to relax and do while I'm at school

I like how your bracelets match the colour scheme! I overall like the cheerful colour scheme you picked here. 🧜♀ I wasn't actually expecting a video from you this month, but not only did you post this early, it was also so heavy on illustration/artwork. I like watching you draw! I am also glad that the cat is checking in on you and is trying to cheer you up in its own way. ♥

I love the Crayola Colors of the World Markers (24 Set) for Skintones and Neutrals in my Bujo. Inexpensive, too. I´m very sorry for your loss, Hedda. My grandpa died when I was studying in the US for a year. I couldn´t go back to Germany for the funeral so I struggled to get a sense of closure for a long time.

I think the streaks of the water-based markers gave the mermaids a more "otherworldliness" look and worked well with the overall theme. I wish you and your family well. Loss and grief is hard but in time the pangs will get easier to hold. All my love.

I think mermaid isn't a weird theme for February at all. I mean, the only month that has more of a connection is maybe may, cause of mermay? I think it's a wonderful theme and I always love your unique themes. Your style is so pretty and I love how you gave your mermaids those side fins, really inspired me for some reason. I am keeping you in my thoughts, I was very close to my grandma who passed recently as well, and I know how difficult it is to go back to working but I hope the distraction is good for you. I also hope you and your family find comfort in the happy memories that you have, and I'm wishing you all the strenght possible. If you take a step back with the amount of work you put out, I'm sure everyone will understand. Take as much time or as little as what feels best for you. Nothing can really make this better, but there is comfort in memories and in knowing that she touched so many lives in such a wonderful way.

i'm so sorry for your loss. i totally understand what you mean about art helping you through it- when i can't deal with something that has huge emotions, art is such a good source of relief and escape. mind blank, hands busy. i love the mermaids theme- it reminds me of sailor moon, but in a pop, almost Pypah's art, kind of style. So pretty. i will be thinking of you this week- don't hesitate to unplug if you can't deal with the youtube / shop / patreon stuff temporarily. it will always be there when you come back!

Hedda, you draw girls so beautifully, and the underwater hair is magic! I loved the green. Oh! And the scales with the white pen … 😍. Your quote is very fitting for both your mermaid spread and your little grandmother: people *are* miracles. Praying for healing for you and your family as you gather and celebrate the life of your own little miracle grandmother.

This theme is beautiful and so delicate. Look after yourself and lean on those you love. The pain of our losses reflects the love we feel for those we have lost. With time the love once again becomes stronger than the pain. Use your art as your therapy if it helps and take time off if you need that. ❤

Sorry to hear that you’re going through such a difficult time. Losing someone close to you is such hard thing to process. Just know that grief is a complicated emotion and as you move through it,it’s okay to feel previous steps multiple times. It gets easier with time but just allow yourself the patience to feel and everything will fall into place. Sending warm thoughts.

Hi Hedda ~ I am so sorry you are going through a difficult time. Hedda.. My Mom was a nurse growing up and we went to countless funerals. It didn't bother me when I was little, cuz they weren't that close to me. I think the first time I cried at a funeral was of a dear friend who was killed in a car accident. My sister was crying and my Mom was crying. Then I started to cry because I saw them in pain. When my "grandma" died (4 years ago now), it was the first time a person in my immediate family died, who I was very, very close with growing up. The funeral was so hollow, empty. We knew it was coming, cuz she was sick for some time. She supported me in everything, advocated for me, got me my first video game, and sat and colored with me. We go through grief in different ways. We are not meant to experience grief of a loved one through death. What got me through it was she wasn't suffering anymore.. and even though she had Alzheimer's/Dementia, she never forgot us. It's okay to cry and miss her and draw mermaids. This is your coping methods and is completely valid. Love you muchlies, Hedda. I hate seeing you in pain, but I promise the pain will lessen with time. You drew the mermaids beautifully
