My son was a ‘clicker’ too. Took ages (and a blistered nipple) to work out he was putting his tongue above the nipple and clicking down across it! They think my breast was too big for his little mouth (once they ruled out tongue tie). Long story short, a nipple protector worked a treat - it elongated the nipple enough to get him started. Once he had finished his guzzling stage and had started the slow feed, I could take it off and feed him normally. It really stopped the air intake too. Surprisingly it helped my friend out as well, once she had the right size. Give it a try and best of luck'

I just found your yt...your joy is contagious..ty as I was having a day. You have an adorable clan and are very blessed! I also have 3 sons and 2 daughters. I have nursed all 5 of my babies. My breast feeding coach informed me that my 1st was a sleepy and lazy latcher..lol I know how annoying hearing that was..lol. It was suggested by my coach to completely undress him, wipe his face with a cool cloth and make him be rather uncomfortable and fully awake. Which was awful, but it worked and within a few days he was latching on without all the fuss, it was very hard on the both of us, but it helped with all the gas and tummy troubles. Good luck and happy days ahead with your lil clan.

My first & only baby/labor was ONE HOUR & A HALF. I was at the hospital 15 min, no epidural, no doctor, in my pj's, and holy mother of God it hurt. Congrats love, he's absolutely perfection ❤ 💖 💕 💗 you're a wonderful mother, person and of course bullet journalist!

I have breastfed three babies and my son is still going strong. He got a lot of air when he was a tiny baby from trying to eat to fast. You can try taking him off and putting him on again. That way he doesn't try and nurse to fast. Felix is so cute!!! All your boys are perfect 🥰 Riddly (I hope I spelled that right) will give up his pacifier when he is ready. my cousin had one until she started kindergarten then she would go to school and leave it in the car until she came home. It was comical she didn't want the other to see it.

I think I have a fast let down because that's when it starts happening, plus it's really fricking painful, it's like major boob cramp 🤣 Ridley was doing pretty good with just using it at bedtime, but then when school stopped and I got more and more pregnant, he seemed to want it more often, I think it's like a comfort blanket. He never takes it out the house but he always has to have 2 at home, one to suck and one to stroke his nose with 😍 I've made more allowances recently because he's been quite overwhelmed with the changes at school and home but as things settle I think (hope) he'll need them less and less 💕💕 Hope you and your family are well xxxx

Oh my word but Felix is so handsome! I never dilated so they were prepping me for a c section. Then I dilated from 2cm to 10cm in seconds and Madison was laying on my bed, gazing up at the world, without anyone realising. She is 7 now and just as independent.

My sister had hers until she went to Kindergarten and she decided that she was ready to put it away then on her own. And she is a normal - as you can say about humans lol - woman.

I breastfed my daughter. I wish i could give you tips but the only problem I had the soreness when she latched on. It went away as my breasts toughened up. I will never forget the closeness I felt with that tiny, precious baby. She is all grown up now :) I wish you all the best with your amazing, handsome baby boy. I know you have your hands full, but you sound so happy. Enjoy the time with them if you can because the time flies by. He really is a beautiful baby! Makes my arms miss those baby cuddles. :) P.S. your spread is lovely!

Great to hear everythings going well for you, and your new addition. Your "yay he's working" comment had me laughing. When the doctors whisk bubs away and bubs isn't crying, this can be quite scary and traumatic especially if noone tells you what's going on so I'm glad everything is ok with you and Felix and that you two were able to bond, he's a cutie.

I was absolutely sobbing and nearly getting trauma triggered all through the health and habits tracker until I finally had to pause a bit to write this comment... might have to take a little break from lis listening or just not finish watching. I'll see how I feel later. Labour trauma and PTSD is a real thing yo. I had many of the same horrific things happen so this hits way too close to home.

I have 3 boys myself and I can completley relate to the bonding thing. My first 1 I felt very bonded with and the 2nd I felt a little disconnected from him (I got diagnosed with post partum) and my 3rd was just like you all 3 where just like you explained so I know exactly what you mean

It's weird isn't it? I had post partum really really bad with Trysten and then a little with Ridley so I was worried I'd get it again this time but so far so good 🤞I felt really disconnected during my pregnancy with Ridley too so maybe that contributed to it? I don't think enough people talk about it, I appreciate you sharing your experience, it's quite a taboo subject so I feel sorry for the mums who suffer in silence. Hopefully it will become more acceptable to talk about it and more mums will know that they're not alone ❤️❤️

Omigosh! How absolutely gorgeous is he!! Well done, Sweetie, he's beautiful!! Well done for persevering with the breastfeeding - have you tried switching Felix's position so that you're holding him differently? Look up the rugby ball hold - basically his body is tucked under the arm on the same side as the breast he's feeding from, it may help.

See, I thought it was supposed to really numb you and you just felt sensations and pressure rather than pain! With the first one not working with Trysten, I'm starting to think I'm immune or something, 😂 I kept saying "if it's this painful WITH an epidural, what would it have been like WITHOUT it?" I think I read somewhere years ago that epidurals aren't as effective for people with fibromyalgia so maybe there's some truth in it? 🤷 Who knows! Can't believe they had to wake you up though! That's amazing! 😆🥰

Keep the journal where you nurse the baby, it may make it easier to keep up with. Bonding can be affected by our messed up hormones after birthing , don’t beat yourself up.

It's pretty brutal, I'm not very good with pain but it really is worth it in the end, and the memory of how painful it is does tend to fade in time, I think it's nature's way of making sure we keep making babies! 😂
