So glad to see someone point out how foragers often go ages without seeing anything! Because we only post to social media when we do people get a skewed idea of how easy it is to fill your basket

The wild garlic isnt quite showing yet up here in north Yorkshire yet. A few more weeks and I'll be having a lovely spring soup of cleavers,three cornered leeks, wild garlic, sorrel, dandelion leaves, jack by the hedge, Wild onions and Nettle tips. Great video, spring is almost here👍🙏🍄🌿🌳

Thanks for identifying that bilberry. I have some of that growing near me and wondered what it was.

Found your channel this morning and love it ! Do you have any good foraging beginner tips/ books ?
@danniinthewild Жыл бұрын
Hey! Omg there are so many 😍literally anything by Roger Phillips, my favourite is his Wildflowers book but it depends what you want to forage. I’m pretty new to KZbin and don’t know how to tag channels but ‘Field Study’ and ‘UK Wildcrafts’ both recently posted videos of their fave foraging books if you’d like to look at some of the classics most of us foragers have!

@@danniinthewild I really appreciate this Danni thank you, I’ve already managed to forage lots of things that I wouldn’t even have realised if it wasn’t for you! My wild garlic, garlic bread is a crowd please !!
