I've been collecting data from a lot of African farmers doing layers and have concluded based on what I've gathered that with good basic flock management, you can use the ratio of 1 EGG PER 1.15 BIRDS PER DAY. So if you want to know how many eggs you will get from your birds, simply divide your number of birds by 1.15 to get number of eggs per day from your entire flock.

I am a new farmer. I follow your video and you cost and advice is not to different from what I am spending. Some of ur items are high and some are low and I guess it is due to our locations. My initial cost per birds before they start laying including cost of bird is 42 ghc. I am currently trying to reduce that to 35. I might do better. I am now seeing how much to rent the rooms to the birds. Fred you have done a good job hope to send u some figures and other farmers also helped me and have good advice.
