I spot a set that i also bought with my double vip. Thanks for that video again. I do like the monkey kid. I listen to my little boy of 7 and he allways is eyeballing at those boxes. Very nice colours and apparently those minifigures are 'weird' and exclusive 😉

The Encanto house , will be a good investment, its a good price point and it contains a good variety of unusual bricks, plus there’s a few Alt builds for the set if you have a few of them.

Nice haul. I have a family member who works for John Lewis. I use their staff discount to get an extra 25% off all the lego. When you include the offers John Lewis usually has you can get really good deals. Got the UCS falcon for £390 a few years ago!

Great selection Iain, picked up some Blacksmiths cottages myself from JL and a motorised Light House,great discount there. I have been collecting the Monkey kid sets for some time now and they really are cool, vibrant and very playable. Have a look atThe Heavenly Realms and City of lanterns.. I understand there will be some new sets in the series coming out later in the year. Look forward to your next hall

Gratz on the haul Iain! I bought my first real haul of 2023 as well recently. 4 more Medieval Blacksmith + 4 more Assembly squares, all from John Lewis at discounts like you did. They all came packed in original warehouse Lego boxes, so buying per 2 at a time (even number) is the key if you want the original Lego boxes for the bigger sets. Also went for 2 Dark trooper Helmets + 2 Republic fighter tanks + 2 Ahsoka brickheads from Lego during double VIP. Unfortunately all these are limited to 2 only :( Also bought 3 Trash Compactor diorama from Argos on discount and 3 discounted Degobah Jedi Training from Amazon Germany.

I’m glad all your boxes came in good condition, unfortunately I can’t say the same about mine. The Lego Atari set I ordered arrived today and the shipping box had a big hole in it and when I opened it I found the actual box of the set had a big split in it. I know I was only buying it for personal use and not for investment but I like to keep my boxes and have them in the best possible condition. Had it only had a crease in the box I probably wouldn’t have been as bothered. I got onto Lego customer service and they arranged to send a new replacement set out to me and a label to return the damaged set. The only disappointing thing is I was looking forward to starting building it this weekend.

@@iainsbricks they can claim that all they want, but the movie was a disaster for Disney. It only grossed 256 mil worldwide. Which puts it at about a 50 million dollar loss, as movies generally have to double their budget to break even (theaters take half). I mean...have you ever met anyone that's seen it? I know I haven't.
