You encouraged me to have a no spend month, I have a shopping addiction and was struggling to save money. Last year I averaged $2,800 in spendings per month and this month I only spent $1,400 🎉 I’m so proud of myself and will definitely be doing that again for February

Hiring a cleaner was honestly one of the best things! We have them come every other week, $100 each clean and they clean EVERYTHING. Our apartment is 1,200ft and it takes them 3ish hours. Obviously it’s a luxury expense but being so busy, it has really helped me with my work life balance not needing to worry about deep cleaning so often. I think it’s definitely worth a try!❤️

Loved the vid as always! Just wondering how involved Nick is with your budgeting (if you don’t mind me asking!)? I have no doubt that all of your financial goals and general plans align, but does he also review each month’s budget/make adjustments etc.? Ive started using a coplenty template this year (thanks for the rec!) and feel like I’m holding all the power for my husband and I’s spending 😂 He’s definitely supportive and keen to focus on some more specific money goals but far less keen on documenting/allocating every cent! Keen to hear how you navigate the specifics of your spending together, particularly given all of your accounts are combined 😊

How does your budgeting for bills work for e.g. gas, electricity, water, council rates? Is it just the same amounts you save per month and then whenever it comes out it gets taken out of the pool of money? As I was confused how you budget the same amount per month, but logically these bills would vary each time they're due.

yes! I transfer the same amount every month to a seperate bills account and the money's just sitting there for when the quarterly bills are due. Tbh our bills don't vary too too much and anything we don't spend just accumulates in the account for any higher bills

I live down south in Adelaide too and have the best cleaner from domestic angels they are very good the owner is an ex cop so very trusting and they are $55 a hour I get 2.5hrs a fortnight but have a large 2story house. Actual life saver definitely recommend getting one ❤

I am one of the people who suggested hiring a cleaner! Normally a fortnighly clean for 2 hours is enough for a 3/2 and ive seen an average of 40-60$/hour per a cleaner and theres normally 2. So 160-240 (this is in Brisbane)

Keep your hospital cover!!! If you’re earning over 180k as a couple (which it looks like you would be) you’ll get penalised not having it at tax time. It happened to me last year and it actually worked out cheaper for us to have bronze hospital then to not have it at all 😊
