Ooooooh PENS! lol. Don't be scared of shimmers! Just get you one of those baby nose snot sucker things (i'm SO SORRY I don't know a better name for those?) and just stick the pointy end in the back of your nib head unit that's the WHOLE head with nib and feed and all that stuff together and squeeze water throught he nib that way if you need to 'flush' the nub/pen (i do this between ink changes on all my pens anyway). Goulet Pens is a great place to get little sets of samples, which might be a great way to 'try' sheens or shimmers if you ever decide to try!!

I PROMISE I'm not trying to sell you anything, but I thought I'd offer a little peace of mind with bags... i've not had any bends or corner damage ever from a bag with a loose deck but if you are nervous, get a bag size closer to the deck (so for this deck, I keep it in one of Peggy's 'smalls' which fit it more closely). I will say that bags with fuzzy interiors or with seams that poke up inside the bag *can* cause issues. I'm spoiled with Peggy's that have smooth cotton interiors with no exposed seams though.

Ok this makes me feel better about trying them. And Goulet having samples!! Thanks for the tips! (Pun intended). And I totally know what you’re talking about lol (the baby snot sucker lol). Gonna have to get me one of those! …the snot sucker, not the baby.

@@Lisa_Papez I actually think the pocket pouch Peggy Bag would work because it has that elastic piece to keep the deck together. I just wanna wait for more colour options. It would be smaller than a leather one for sure!

Loved this video!! Especially loved the crystals:) Just a tip for edging the outgrow yourself deck -make sure you use an ink that won't come off easily bc I used a tombow (water based) marker in black & it chipped enough to be noticeable, so I went over that with a black prismacolor (premiere) marker. I didn't try using sharpie, but they make a pro version fat one that might work. It's still chipping a little, so idk what I'm gonna do about it, but I wanted to let you know. It's a great deck, as is the heavenly bodies! Thanks for sharing your haul and Happy belated Birthday!! 🎉😊💕🎁🥂🎊

I have edged a deck with the Tombow and it rubs off on my fingers (it’s the water based one too). I went over it with a microfiber cloth and that helped. Then I tried edging another one in Crayola and that still rubs off on my fingers. So I think I will do the Sharpie for this deck. So many edging problems lol

It’s funny being a fellow Aquarian (the 6th of Feb) I also enjoy my fountain pens lol (ordered a few more), my books are full of tabs like yours, yoda in the background, very similar decks and aesthetic that resonates with us, enjoy Greek mythology, I feel like it’s an Aquarius thing lol. Happy belated, beautiful. I love your videos!

Happy birthday! And don’t throw a clogged pen out-just take it apart and run water through it till it’s clear! Welcome to the fountain pen rabbit hole.

Also if there’s a shop that sells pens and ink near you, they probably also paper and then you could get a tiny pad or even an envelope for swatches.

Totally thought that it would be the Heavenly Bodies that you chose for your astrology deck since you mentioned that you were on the hunt for one in one of your last videos. Guess my witchy senses were right this time. It's such a good one to give you a base of astrology knowledge from where you can expand on if you want to securily. Also love that whole system where you can build sentences with the cards and so you not only get the meaning/energy of each sign, planet etc, but also see how they connect or influence eachother. That was such a brilliant idea. Now I have to leave some mineral knowledge here since I'm a crystal nerd. Maybe you find it interesting/helpful or maybe it just annoyes you (if so I'm sorry). Ammolite is a form of Ammonite that has that super colorful flash on the outside and is only found in one place on earth as of right now (Canada). They were similiar creatures like Nautilus. Also the blue and purple flashes are the rarest. So maybe that will make it feel even more special to you. Heulandite is a form of Zeolite and so it's like a sister/brother to stilbite and scolecite (maybe you know those and find it interesting to know that they're related). Apophyllite is sun save. And that blue color comes from chalcedony that the Apophyllite grew on, so it just shines through the clear Apophyllite crystals. Loved your approach to number the Outgrow Yourself. What an awesome idea.
