I loved the cry of the icemark books They came out like 20 years ago which is probably why they aren't heard of much now. They were pretty funny as well as emotional

For Polarthon my TBR is Polar Horrors: Strange Tales From the World's Ends, Odd and the Frost Giants (Neil Gaiman) & Let The Right One In (John Ajvide Lindqvist). Can't wait! 🦌❄️

All of those books sound like lots of fun - especially want to get my hands on The Will of the Many! I'm planning to mood read this Polarthon, but will probably start with Waking Gods after I finally ready my copy of Sleeping Giants (that I bought years ago at your recommendation 😅) and absolutely flew through it. 🐻‍❄❄

Cry of the Icemark sounds perfect for Polarthon. Not sure I can get my hands on a copy fast enough to read it that week but I am definitely putting it on my TBR. I have a stack of a dozen polar fantasy books I've pulled from my shelves. I'm going to mood read my way through as many as I can manage.

Still can't decide which team I'm joining, but I think shiny covers wins out on books I wanna prioritise that fit a team prompt. Also, I got that James Islington book a couple weeks ago! Bookseller practically dragged me over to it to recommend it, based on books we've talked about before, so....hope I love it haha!

I said I wasn't going to do monthly tbr's either, and that I would do ~seasonal~ ones instead... but I've been thinking about how I kind of want to film a February TBR anyway. So I definitely know how you feel. 😂

What a funny coincidence. I literally just finished reading The City of Stardust (also the Fairyloot edition) and then this is the first video I watch on YT. I had no idea what it was about when I started reading it and was quite surprised by it. So I won't say much, just that it's one of those book where the focus is more on the vibes than the plot. Which I love but I know is not for everyone. And I'm curious what you'll think about it. ^_^
