You are SUCH a winter! Dark hair and eyes, cool skin tone, and high contrast between your hair/eye color and your skin tone. 😊

I’m always impressed how you put colors together. If I were to guess, I think you’re a Spring. I look forward to hearing the results from an expert!

I am tired of making something that doesn't work for me either. I agree with you so much. I know my colors and style of sweaters that look good on me and I am making only them. Thank you for confirming my thoughts also.

Hi Stacy, I work at Lamb and Kid and I am also a tight knitter. I actually knit Elmer (which is probably one of my favorite yarns ever, btw) at a sport weight on a size US 5. We call it a fingering weight, but it’s on the heavier side. If I knit it on smaller needles, my fabric turns out too dense and not drapey enough. I don’t know if you tried swatching it on different needle sizes, but I would do that first (and block your swatch) before you start choosing different garment sizes.

Yes! I knit my swatch on a 5 and I really love the fabric! Elmer is such a dreamy yarn! I do usually wash and block swatches before I start knitting just didn't get around to it yet!

There is another way of doing colors called “dressing your truth” that has been really resonant for me - maybe look at both.?? Happy Birthday

I think that the key to looking your best, colorwise, is wearing whatever color you like, but then wearing one of "your colors" closest to your face, while wearing a lipstick/gloss color that really suits you (if that's your thing). I love neutrals, but I am super pale, so if I wear a blue, teal or coral collared shirt or scarflette and a raspberry or coral lip, I feel my best. But it took me decades to reach that realization!😂 Besitos from Spain

Adding to the Dressing your truth - color palates are divided into tints, tones, shades and clear color with no add - so really more options- as a “tones” or type two any color yarn dyed on a gray base would fit. Your type is determined mostly by facial features though other stuff too

Happy early birthday! Since you've tried about every color of linen quill, what is your favorite soft white and favorite pink? I want to try it for a few sweaters this year and don't know what color would work best.

I LOVE pale oats and honey pink. Wheat flower is also very beautiful! Peony pink is very pretty but it’s a little too pink for me.

I think you might be okay with your Pressed Flowers. I added 4 rows of ribbing because I thought mine might be too tight. The V is pretty low, so below the largest circumference of my bust. I hope you love it. Mine is one of my favorites.

Hi Stacey, I found your podcast trying to find information on the SoHo Square. I bought pearl Soho Linen quilt as well I had a heckuva time choosing colors. I really liked what you picked out. I ended up going with what Jackie Rose used for her large square I’ve never done German, short rows so I’m excited to try that out I did I want to ask what do you use for a ball winder and Swift? I’ve been struggling trying to find one and I see so many of them out there and I really wanna get one that works well to make that commitment. If you have any advice I’d love to hear what you have to say. Have a great time in Arizona.

Welcome! I use a Stanwood Needlecraft ball winder, I've had it for about 7 years now and it's still great, I also bought the wood swift that they offer at the same time! They've really held up!
