Delray has had 3 crossing malfunctions this past week that I've seen... I witnessed one at NE 8th and at SE 10th where the lights and bells keep going when the gates rise after the train passes... but nothing like this! They've been having some serious technical problems since they installed the 4-quadrant gates.

if I remember correctly and depending on how the wired the gates up ect.. im about 90% sure if you push the entrance gates up it will send the exit gates up cause they don't want anybody getting trapped in the track area.

I don't know if it's a malfunction because it resembles the barrier lowering system used in Japan, they lower the first 2 barriers and then lower the other 2 but if it is dangerous that they are up before the train finished passing

Usually they do not in this area. People just need to abide by the signals. However, this malfunction only happened once. The next train which was a BrightLine, stopped before the crossing and it was flagged cause i called it in.
