I love that image near the beginning with the grassy slope, bare tree, and the distant peak. Did I call them “leafscapes”? How clever!

you did Peter! You should have copyrighted it!! thank you for your kind, positive comment on that image - it's one of my favourites. it was shot about 4.5 years ago - just after our first lockdown, and was taken on the road between the two parts of Waterfall Country near here 🙂

Very good and inspiring video/tutorial, not to mention great images, I have to try this “leafscapes thing”. But to be honest, the best part of the video is Lisa’s performance. Be well Nicholas.

My favorite this time is your berry in acorn on moss. Of course, the colors touch on the holiday season just past. Then the images with intricate patterns can inspire a zen like quality.

thank you 🙂 that was a good find. I almost thought hen I saw it that I'd interrupted some forest creature's cooking session! Again, if I weren't so slow on my feet I'd have passed that by so easily.

Very nice image Nick and I'm glad you cropped out that bright stem, it's a very pleasing shot of something I tend to walk on almost every day at the moment without giving it a second thought!

thank you Alan. yes that stem had to go! If I was fit and able I doubt very much I'd ever see these scenes either. being super slow and always watching where my feet go kind of makes them almost instinctive 🙂

Wonderful posting! Your images are so inspirational. Yes, from time to time we have to change our photography focus with the seasonal changes to find subjects of interest. Six months of the year I have our rose garden. Thank you for your time and effort. Be well.

a garden is a joy to behold 🙂 mine saved my life - or at least in part as it gave me a goal during the darkest days of my illness 🙂

You have an f/1.0 lens? Or is that a tiny white speck of leaf litter I’m mistaking for a decimal point and the aperture is actually f/10? I need one of those leaves to place a bright red ladybug on that I’ll try a macro shot with today. All leaf litter here is frozen under several inches of snow. Your dark editing technique works really well with leaf litter. 💜💜

thanks TC - glad you enjoyed the edit 🙂 it's my f2.8 Laowa lens. It has no pass through contacts so the camera doesn't know what aperture I use s it's just records it as f1.0

I really should wait to watch your photo videos on a computer. On my phone, these photos look too small.
