Enjoying these moulding series videos: finding them interesting and informative as I consider moulding for the restoration of my home. One suggestion: When you are presenting terminology, also put it as a graphic on the screen. Seeing it together with hearing you say it helps most people remember better because one is reinforcing the other. I know that's a little more work in the editing suite! Also wondering whether you use the Golden Ratio. (I think that's related to the Fibonacci sequence?) I've done that with some design elements and it seems to work.

Good feedback, thanks. Yes, the Golden rule is a part of classical design. Thanks.

I totally love your videos. I am not a good carpenter as I've learned from these videos, but I'm not understanding something around 9:27 into the video. The Federalist Frieze looks fine, but the Cornice above it looks to be too wide or maybe unsupported. What am I missing?

Good eye, yes, the Federal cornice is thin and dainty. It projects out more than it goes up. Part of the historic precedent. FYI.

@@BrentHull After I posted this, I did see the exact proportions in another of your videos featuring a Federalist room at Winterthur.

I'm confused, I thought you make moulding, but I've seen in a few videos you mention Windsor....

Good point. Sorry for the confusion. We have a custom shop and do only custom millwork. I've designed moldings for 3 companies/lumber yards. Windsor was first. Because they sell nationally I don't feel they are competition for us and it gives more people good quality moldings. We still are making moldings, but our clients typically want something unique.
