Thank you; I'm glad you still liked the video. I get rude comments complaining about the things I mentioned that weren't going as planned in this one, and then get told I should have been better prepared or I shouldn't have made the video at all if I wasn't going to do it right. Sometimes things don't go as planned, and I can't afford to just scrap the whole video and start over the next day when I drive 45 minutes each way and live paycheck to paycheck. So thank you again, because I really appreciate the support from people like you that understand and don't expect a hollywood level production every single time.

This was well done throughout. Nobody that's here for the facts, are going to care about perfect production value. These each have their strengths. I have several different .22 rounds, but got the stingers for my duty ammo lr. Its' performance seems to a happy medium, between penetration and expansion.

@BuckeyeBallistics
@BuckeyeBallistics 2 жыл бұрын
Honestly for anything you don't need that much punch for (squirrels, prairie dogs, birds), the .17 HMR is inherently more accurate and flatter shooting. The wind however will blow that little bullet around much more (first hand experience), so the .22 WMR is much better in the wind- along with carrying more energy overall, especially at longer distances.

Good video. I learned a thing or two. Thanks. Your comments on bullets tumbling got me thinking...(uh-oh, you might wanna duck)...What would happen if you took a regular ol' 40 grain .22 lr solid point and cut the tip off, but cut it at an angle (like 45 degrees, or thereabouts). I wonder if that wouldn't cause the bullet to yaw once it hits the medium and induce tumbling.
@BuckeyeBallistics
@BuckeyeBallistics 2 жыл бұрын
You could certainly cause a bullet to yaw with the right cuts to make it off balance, but accuracy would be poor because it would likely wobble or tumble in flight...

@BuckeyeBallistics
@BuckeyeBallistics 2 жыл бұрын
What did I not present accurately? No bit of anything was misrepresented or false in any fashion whatsoever. As I said in the video, I was pressed for time because I had a meeting to make. Then I suppose you'll tell me I should have been better prepared like the other guy said, so then I guess I have to go even further into my personal life and inform you that I got the call while I was at the range about the meeting during the middle of recording, so there was nothing I could do about it and no way to prepare for that unknown. That's why the video is so rushed, which I even stated in the video that I wasn't happy about it. But then you still feel inclined to tell me something I already know and that I already adressed in the video... And when I do take my time and everything works right, then I get complaints that the video is too long. Literally there is always somebody unpleased about some aspect of my work. Yeah, well, even hollywood productions don't get perfect ratings, and they have million dollar budgets compared to my $20 budget...

Should never test fire bullets in gel and temperatures below 70 degrees. The colder the air the denser it gets which affects ft.per second and penatration

Don't snipe at us gun lovers; look at .22 plinkster .Tools and Paul Harrell: Learn,........ as they are always prepared: peace young man
@BuckeyeBallistics
@BuckeyeBallistics 2 жыл бұрын
Paul can post anything and people eat it up whether it sucks or not because he has a cult following. I don't know who Tools is. 22 plinkster is payed off by CCI and others and is a freaking millionare and still gets almost everything for free. Oh also all those guys either have their own land or have connections where they get special treatment. Paul shoots at a range he says, but how many times have you ever seen him shooting with some random stranger right next to him like I often have to do in my videos? Never- he has pretty much free reign of that "range" that he shoots at and *somehow* always has a spot, just for him, away from everybody else. I only got the range to myself this day in this video because it was freezing out, and even at that I got lucky. I'm clawing my way up from the bottom, every dollar out of my own pocket. How dare you compare me to the big channels with huge budgets, private acess to land, and often times a paid professional editor/film crew. Compare my channel to another of the same size (20k) who pays for everything out of pocket, has cheap cameras, self edits, and uses public ranges without any special priveledges and I garuntee you that my channel is in the top percentile. And I'm not "sniping" shit- I'm giving you straight facts from the inside that you have no clue about. You think you know everything and base your criticisms on your own ignorance twice now. You can't fairly compare my channel to those you mentioned, because of course there is no comparison when they are 20+ times the size and budget of me. That's like comparing a corner store to Walmart- there is no comparison! No shit walmart has more stuff and for cheaper, no shit a channel with millions of subscribers has better quality videos than one with 20k... You don't want "sniped" then don't spread your misguided BS on my channel. You have every right to say whatever you want on here just as I do, so don't be hypocritcal when you don't like what I say because I didn't like what *you* said. It's a 2-way street buddy... You're helping me learn a valuable lesson though, and that's that I just need to start ignoring anyone like you who thinks they know better or thinks I should be at the same level as a huge channel with every advantage that I don't have. I'm not going to scrap the video halfway through and throw away money that I don't have because it wasn't perfect just because you blindly think I should be on the same level with millionaires. But you know what's funny and why you're here on my video? Because Paul and Plinkster never gave you a video like this- you had to come to my channel for it because they didn't have it. Hmmm, the irony. And that's why I'm gaining almost 1000 new subscribers every month, so who cares what you think anyway...

"Time spent in preparation is seldom wasted:".. More thought and better editing IF , you want to be a .22 youtuber
@BuckeyeBallistics
@BuckeyeBallistics 2 жыл бұрын
Ahh, so you're the guy I was talking about. Maybe I should start my own quote, "until you're a youtuber, you won't understand the struggles and how hard it actually is..." which is pretty accurate since you think you have the magic solution even though you've never tried being a creator yourself. I made a mistake at the rifle range just prior while filming another video with the stingers, where I ended up having to shoot an extra unplanned group which ultimately led to the low round count at my disposal once I went to start this video- this is not something that could have been planned for. The chrono not working well and eating up even more ammo- just days prior while filming another video the chrono was working fantastic, so it's behavior on this specific day was not something that could have been predicted and thus "prepared" for. My phone battery dying- I was at 43% when I finished the video just before this one. 10 minutes later when I pulled it out to start recording again, it said 5%. I guess it didn't like the cold weather (30 degrees) and decided to go from around half battery life to dead in 10 minutes even though I wasn't using it. How was I supposed to know that was going to happen? Thankfully I had the gopro for back up, but the little gopro batteries don't last very long and they were already drained from filming the previous videos of the day. Then as for my meeting that I mentioned in the video that I was nearly late for- I was not informed of this meeting until I recieved the call while I was at the range! How was I supposed to know THAT was going to happen? See, the reality is, you have no clue what I went through that day and have no clue how much time and effort and preperation I already put into this before AND during filming. You just instead assume I'm sloppy and unprepared when really you have no clue what happens behind the scenes.
