Rate cut can trigger market fall if expectations are different than actual rate cuts. Also, rate cuts tend to precede recessions historically. With rising unemployment, lower hiring, and near 10% mortgage rates, I would say “hello recession”.

The stronger the economy gets, the more value it brings to the USD, the more value the USD gets, stocks drive down. Why? It can affect the performance of exporting for companies, driving down their revenue/increasing costs, ect... That's just one example.
