Honest to God, I've had this set as my alarm for the past 1y7m to get up in the morning, because this is the closest siren on YT that I could find thats pretty close to mine. When my town tests the Tornado/Danger test, it's exactly like this one.

I got the tornado emergencies on KIH46 on my weather radios. Very scary night that i will never forget until it's my time to go. it's sad that the 3T22 will probably never work again but great recording on this siren.

Yeah I was chasing one of the supercells that night. Hearing that kind of EAS in the middle of December was wild! It was also just before the holidays too which was definitely heartbreaking when I heard all the damage that was happening. It was a long night...

Zoom H1s mostly. They can be plugged into a camera or can be a standalone audio recorder. They're pretty cheap and you can get a lot of value from them. Plus they're stereo which is a must-have in siren recording. Are they the best mics? No. But they're not bad. I have three currently. One is usually set to manual which I like to use for recordings like this where you can really hear the difference when the siren is facing towards you.

In the UK, we don't get all of the reports of tornadoes, so providing those details just added a whole extra level of meaning to this video for me. Such a shame that the 3T22 will have to be replaced but my god, it went out doing its job.
