The Federal Signal Navigator Series LED Lightbar a linear, high-profile LED lightbar that offers first responders an unique choice of using LED reflectors and LED rotators in one platform. Designed to fit the needs of multiple agencies, the Navigator's options and overall flexibility can be used on fire apparatus, command/fleet vehicles, police, or work trucks/DOT. Federal Signal’s exclusive Solaris LED Rotating Reflectors (SLR) and QuadraFlare reflectors are engineered to significantly increase off-axis warning and maximize the LED light source to eliminate dark spots for true 360-degree light coverage. These reflectors have the ability to flash one or two LED colors while in operation. LED color options are available in Red, Blue, Amber, White and Green. When configured with White QuadraFlare reflectors, flood mode activation provides an impressive flood light capability to light up an emergency scene. Navigator offers a front and rear lightbar cut-off feature for enhanced functionality and safety. This allows the user the ability to mix SLR and QuadraFlare LED modules. The Navigator is available with Amber, Blue, Clear and Red domes with either Clear or Black bulkheads. There are 30 flash patterns including the flood option.
The Navigator is available in 10", 18", 25", 45", 53", 60", 73", and 87" lengths for a consistent look across an entire fleet of vehicles. The 45", 53", and 60"are also available in a discreet or serial variations. In addition to standard model configurations, Navigator is also available in custom configurations. This allows the user the ability to mix SLR and QuadraFlare LED modules. The Navigator is available with Amber, Blue, Clear and Red domes with either Clear or Black bulkheads. There are 30 flash patterns including the flood option. The SignalMaster option is available for the 45", 53" and 60" models.

Fed Sig needs to incorporate their SLR style LED rotators into more of their light bars. Why is Fed Sig so stubborn and won't convert their Fire Beam into SLR rotator? They can totally dominate the volunteer market if they update the Fire Bean but reduce the cost of their LED rotators which are still the best on the market.

dcentral I would disagree somewhat. The SLR rotators don't have the same pop that power arc still uses even with LED. However an LED version of a dashlaser, firebeam or even cadet would be awesome. Heck why use all this LED rotator technology when we could just take it put a special LED bulb behind a traditional reflector. That's the only way to achieve the best of a true rotator and the brightness of LED. Sure may still draw more amps than a flashing dash light but it would be perfect in my opinion

dcentral LED rotators are an option on this lightbar...you can get all rotators, all flashers, or a combo of both.

Zach Novosad LEDs are directional, it's not possible to create a 360 degree LED bulb that would be bright enough to use in a standard incandescent rotator. FedSig's design is the right way to do it and it's plenty bright.

Another bar I can not afford but want. How come federal signal hasn't updated the smart siren? I mean I know it works but just seems outdated in these times.

How else should they update the smart siren? It was completely redone in recent years with software updates, more custom programmable control of light functions and importantly ALL Unitrol siren tones were digitized and added to Smart Siren series. Unitrol tones are the best, most effective tones ever created.

dcentral I had a brain fart on programming I forgot they caught up with whelen. So many fleets I have done just upgrade lights and not controllers used to old smart sirens.

Mr. Random I'm my a fan of the smart siren tones. Code 3 Vcon, Whelen epsilon and galls street thunder are the best sirens made in my opinion. Well besides mechanicals. Those are the true best

It is possible to bolt magnets to the feet that are included. Just keep in mind that it wouldn't be safe for driving with it affixed that way.

F/S is much brighter, our department had about 400 cars outfitted which was less than 1/3 with the Whelen Freedom, then they had the remaining 2/3 equipped with F/S Navigator, because the metro department next to had F/S Navigator & their jurisdiction bleeds over onto ours, so the fellas noticed right away that their light bars are much brighter w/larger diodes & many more? They put pressure on our association & our executives had to equip the remaining with F/S.
